📚 Year 11 Edexcel French: Quick Reference Formulas & Rules | 公式定理速查手册
Mastering French at GCSE level is not just about memorising vocabulary—it's about internalising the building blocks of the language. This handbook presents the most essential grammar rules, verb structures, and sentence patterns in the form of "formulas", helping you apply them accurately in your writing and speaking exams. Each formula is explained clearly in both English and Chinese, so you can quickly find what you need and understand how it works.
在GCSE阶段学好法语,不仅仅靠背单词,更需要把语言的基本结构内化。这本手册以“公式”的形式整理了最核心的语法规则、动词结构和句型模版,帮助你在写作和口语考试中准确运用。每条公式都配有清晰的中英文解释,让你快速查阅、真正理解。
1. Present Tense Regular Verbs | 现在时规则动词变位公式
The present tense is built by removing the infinitive ending (-er, -ir, -re) and adding the correct set of endings. These endings follow a fixed pattern for each group. Commit these patterns to memory and you can conjugate hundreds of verbs.
现在时通过去掉不定式词尾(-er, -ir, -re)再加上相应的人称词尾构成。每组词尾都有固定规律,记牢这些模式就能套用到数百个动词上。
| Subject | -er verbs (parler) | -ir verbs (finir) | -re verbs (vendre) |
|---|---|---|---|
| je | parle | finis | vends |
| tu | parles | finis | vends |
| il/elle/on | parle | finit | vend |
| nous | parlons | finissons | vendons |
| vous | parlez | finissez | vendez |
| ils/elles | parlent | finissent | vendent |
Formula – -er verbs: stem + e, es, e, ons, ez, ent
Formula – -ir verbs: stem + is, is, it, issons, issez, issent
Formula – -re verbs: stem + s, s, (nothing), ons, ez, ent
公式 – -er 动词:词干 + e, es, e, ons, ez, ent
公式 – -ir 动词:词干 + is, is, it, issons, issez, issent
公式 – -re 动词:词干 + s, s, (无词尾), ons, ez, ent
2. Key Irregular Verbs in the Present | 常见不规则动词现在时
Some verbs are used so frequently that their present tense forms must be learned by heart. Edexcel exams expect you to use them accurately. Below are the most important ones in a formula-style reference.
有些动词使用频率极高,其现在时形式必须熟记。Edexcel考试要求你能正确使用它们。以下是最关键的不规则动词,以公式形式呈现。
| Verb | je | tu | il/elle | nous | vous | ils/elles |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| être (to be) | suis | es | est | sommes | êtes | sont |
| avoir (to have) | ai | as | a | avons | avez | ont |
| aller (to go) | vais | vas | va | allons | allez | vont |
| faire (to do/make) | fais | fais | fait | faisons | faites | font |
| pouvoir (can) | peux | peux | peut | pouvons | pouvez | peuvent |
| vouloir (to want) | veux | veux | veut | voulons | voulez | veulent |
| devoir (must) | dois | dois | doit | devons | devez | doivent |
Memory tip: Treat the je, tu, il/elle forms as a mini-set; they often share a common stem that differs from the nous/vous stem. Practice by saying them aloud.
记忆技巧:把 je, tu, il/elle 看作一个小组合,它们的词干通常相同,但与 nous/vous 不同。大声朗读来强化记忆。
3. The Perfect Tense (Passé Composé) Formula | 复合过去时构成公式
The perfect tense describes completed actions in the past. It is formed with an auxiliary verb (avoir or être) in the present tense plus a past participle. The choice of auxiliary follows specific rules, especially for verbs of movement and reflexive verbs.
复合过去时用于描述已经完成的过去动作。它由助动词(avoir 或 être)的现在时加上过去分词构成。助动词的选择有特定规则,尤其对于运动动词和代动词。
Formula: Subject + auxiliary (present) + past participle
公式: 主语 + 助动词(现在时)+ 过去分词
- Most verbs use avoir: J'ai mangé (I ate). 大多数动词用 avoir:J'ai mangé(我吃了)。
- A set of “Dr & Mrs Vandertramp” verbs use être and agree the participle with the subject. “Dr & Mrs Vandertramp” 动词用 être,且过去分词要与主语性数一致。
- Reflexive verbs always use être: Je me suis levé(e) (I got up). 代动词永远用 être:Je me suis levé(e)(我起床了)。
Past participle agreements with être: add -e for feminine, -s for plural, -es for feminine plural. 与 être 连用时过去分词的配合:主语为阴性加 -e,复数加 -s,阴性复数加 -es。
Example: Elle est allée (She went); Ils sont partis (They left). 例:Elle est allée(她去了);Ils sont partis(他们离开了)。
4. The Imperfect Tense Formula | 未完成过去时公式
The imperfect describes ongoing, habitual or descriptive past situations. It is formed from the nous form of the present tense: drop -ons and add the imperfect endings.
未完成过去时描述过去持续、习惯性或背景性的状态。它的构成基于现在时 nous 形式:去掉 -ons 再加上未完成过去时词尾。
Formula: stem (from nous form minus -ons) + -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient
公式: 词干(源自 nous 形式去掉 -ons)+ -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient
Parler → nous parlons → stem parl- tu parlais, il , tu parlais, il parlait, nous parlions, vous parliez, ils parlaient. The only exception is être with its own stem ét- (j'étais, etc.). 唯一例外是 être,其词干为 ét-(j'étais 等)。
5. Simple Future & Conditional Formulas | 简单将来时和条件式公式
The simple future expresses what will happen. The conditional expresses what would happen. Both use the same stem—usually the infinitive (or a modified stem for irregular verbs)—and add specific endings.
简单将来时表达将要发生的事,条件式表达可能发生或假设的事。两者使用相同的词干——通常是不定式(或不规则动词的变体词干),再各自加上特定词尾。
Future endings: -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont
Conditional endings: -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient
将来时词尾: -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont
条件式词尾: -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient
For regular verbs, stem = infinitive: je parlerai (I will speak), je parlerais (I would speak). For irregular stems, memorise: être → ser-, avoir → aur-, faire → fer-, aller → ir-, pouvoir → pourr-, vouloir → voudr-, voir → verr-, devoir → devr-, venir → viendr-, etc. 规则动词词干即不定式:je parlerai(我将说),je parlerais(我会说)。不规则词干需熟记:être → ser-,avoir → aur-,faire → fer-,aller → ir-,pouvoir → pourr-,vouloir → voudr-,voir → verr-,devoir → devr-,venir → viendr- 等。
6. Negation Formula | 否定式公式
The standard negation places ne ... pas around the conjugated verb. In compound tenses, ne ... pas wraps around the auxiliary. This is a strict word-order rule that Edexcel examiners check carefully.
标准否定式将 ne ... pas 置于变位动词两侧。在复合时态中,ne ... pas 包围助动词。这是Edexcel考官重点检查的严格语序规则。
Formula: ne + conjugated verb/auxiliary + pas + (past participle/infinitive)
公式: ne + 变位动词/助动词 + pas + (过去分词/不定式)
- Present: Je ne parle pas (I do not speak). 现在时:Je ne parle pas。
- Perfect: Je n'ai pas mangé (I did not eat). 复合过去时:Je n'ai pas mangé。
- With infinitive: Je ne vais pas faire (I am not going to do). 带不定式:Je ne vais pas faire。
- Other negatives: ne ... jamais (never), ne ... plus (no longer), ne ... rien (nothing), ne ... personne (nobody). 其他否定:ne ... jamais(从不),ne ... plus(不再),ne ... rien(什么都没),ne ... personne(没人)。
7. Object Pronoun Placement Formula | 宾语代词位置公式
Object pronouns (me, te, le, la, nous, vous, les, lui, leur, y, en) are placed before the conjugated verb, except in affirmative commands where they go after and are hyphenated. This rule governs many GCSE-level sentences.
宾语代词(me, te, le, la, nous, vous, les, lui, leur, y, en)置于变位动词之前,但在肯定命令式中放在动词之后并用连字符连接。这条规则涵盖大量GCSE级别的句子。
Formula (non-imperative): subject + pronoun + conjugated verb (+ pas / infinitive)
公式(非命令式): 主语 + 代词 + 变位动词(+ pas / 不定式)
- Je le vois (I see him/it). Je le vois(我看见他/它)。
- Je ne l'ai pas vu (I did not see him). Je ne l'ai pas vu(我没看见他)。
- With two pronouns, the order is: me/te/se/nous/vous before le/la/les before lui/leur before y before en. Example: Il me le donne (He gives it to me). 两个代词时顺序:me/te/se/nous/vous → le/la/les → lui/leur → y → en。如:Il me le donne(他把它给我)。
- Affirmative command: verb – pronoun: Donne-le-moi ! (Give it to me!). 肯定命令式:动词 – 代词:Donne-le-moi !(给我它!)。
8. Adjectives: Agreement & Position Formulas | 形容词性数配合与位置公式
French adjectives must agree in gender and number with the noun they describe. Most follow the pattern of adding -e for feminine and -s for plural. Position typically comes after the noun, but a small group (BAGS) comes before.
法语形容词必须与所修饰名词的性数一致。多数在阳性基础上加 -e 变阴性,加 -s 变复数。位置通常在名词之后,但有一小类(BAGS)前置。
Agreement formula: masculine singular + -e (feminine) + -s (plural) → e.g., grand → grande → grands → grandes. Irregular exceptions: beau → belle, vieux → vieille, bon → bonne. 有些词尾特殊:以 -eux 结尾变 -euse(如 heureux → heureuse),以 -if 结尾变 -ive(如 sportif → sportive)。
配合公式: 阳性单数 + -e(阴性)+ -s(复数)→ 例如:grand → grande → grands → grandes。不规则的例外:beau → belle,vieux → vieille,bon → bonne。有些词尾特殊:以 -eux 结尾变 -euse(如 heureux → heureuse),以 -if 结尾变 -ive(如 sportif → sportive)。
Position rule – BAGS: Beauty, Age, Goodness, Size adjectives usually come before the noun: une belle voiture, un vieil homme, une bonne idée, un petit problème. Others generally follow: une voiture rouge. 位置规则 – BAGS: 表示美(Beauty)、龄(Age)、好(Goodness)、大小(Size)的形容词通常放在名词之前:une belle voiture(一辆漂亮的车),un vieil homme(一位老人),une bonne idée(一个好主意),un petit problème(一个小问题)。其他形容词一般后置:une voiture rouge(一辆红色的车)。
9. Comparative & Superlative Formulas | 比较级和最高级公式
Comparing people or things follows a simple pattern. Use plus ... que (more than), moins ... que (less than), aussi ... que (as ... as) with adjectives or adverbs. The superlative uses le/la/les plus + adjective.
比较人或事物遵循简单模式。对形容词或副词使用 plus ... que(比...更)、moins ... que(不如)、aussi ... que(和...一样)。最高级用 le/la/les plus + 形容词。
Formulas:
公式:
- Comparative: plus/moins/aussi + adjective + que → Marie est plus grande que Luc (Marie is taller than Luc). 比较级:plus/moins/aussi + 形容词 + que → Marie est plus grande que Luc(玛丽比吕克高)。
- Superlative: le/la/les plus/moins + adjective → C'est la plus intelligente (She is the most intelligent). 最高级:le/la/les plus/moins + 形容词 → C'est la plus intelligente(她是最聪明的)。
- Irregular forms: bon(ne)(s) → meilleur(e)(s) (better), le/la/les meilleur(e)(s) (the best); bien → mieux (better), le mieux (the best). 不规则形式:bon(ne)(s) → meilleur(e)(s)(更好),le/la/les meilleur(e)(s)(最好);bien → mieux(更好),le mieux(最好)。
10. Question Formation Formulas | 疑问句构成公式
There are three main ways to ask a question in French. Edexcel rewards candidates who can use all three, especially inversion in formal writing.
法语疑问句主要有三种构成方式。Edexcel鼓励考生能交错使用三种形式,特别是在正式写作中使用倒装。
1) Est-ce que + statement: Est-ce que tu aimes le sport ? (Do you like sport?) 陈述句前加 Est-ce que:Est-ce que tu aimes le sport ?
2) Inversion: verb + hyphen + subject pronoun, with a -t- inserted if two vowels clash: Aimes-tu le sport ? / A-t-il un chien ? 倒装:动词 + 连字符 + 主语代词,两个元音相遇时加 -t-:Aimes-tu le sport ? / A-t-il un chien ?
3) Rising intonation: simply say the sentence with a questioning tone: Tu aimes le sport ? 升调:仅用陈述句加疑问语调:Tu aimes le sport ?
For question words, place them at the start: Quand, Où, Comment, Pourquoi, Qui, Que/Qu'est-ce que then apply one of the structures. E.g., Quand est-ce que tu arrives ? / Quand arrives-tu ? 疑问词放在句首:Quand(何时),Où(哪里),Comment(如何),Pourquoi(为什么),Qui(谁),Que/Qu'est-ce que(什么),然后套用上述结构之一。例如:Quand est-ce que tu arrives ? / Quand arrives-tu ?
11. Relative Pronouns qui, que, dont | 关系代词 qui, que, dont
Relative pronouns link clauses and prevent repetition. The choice between qui, que and dont depends on the grammatical function of the noun being replaced.
关系代词连接从句,避免重复。选择 qui、que 还是 dont 取决于被替代名词在从句中的语法功能。
Formulas:
公式:
- qui = subject of the relative clause: La fille qui parle (The girl who is speaking). qui 在从句中作主语:La fille qui parle(正在说话的女孩)。
- que = direct object of the relative clause: La fille que j'aime (The girl whom I love). que 在从句中作直接宾语:La fille que j'aime(我爱的女孩)。
- dont = object of de: La fille dont je parle (The girl about whom I am speaking). Verbs/adjectives that take de trigger dont: avoir besoin de → le livre dont j'ai besoin. dont 替代 de 的宾语:La fille dont je parle(我谈起的那女孩)。要求 de 的动词/形容词使用 dont:avoir besoin de → le livre dont j'ai besoin(我需要的那本书)。
12. High-Value Connectors and Subjunctive Triggers | 高分连接词及虚拟式触发结构
To access the top bands in writing and speaking, you must use a range of linking words and complex structures. Some conjunctions require the subjunctive mood. This formula pack will boost your sophistication.
要在写作和口语中获得高分,你需要使用多样的连接词和复杂结构。有些连词要求使用虚拟式。这套公式能提升你语言的复杂程度。
