1. Definite and Indefinite Articles | 定冠词与不定冠词
In Spanish, the word for 'the' changes according to the gender and number of the noun. Use el for masculine singular (el libro), la for feminine singular (la casa), los for masculine plural (los libros) and las for feminine plural (las casas). The indefinite articles 'a/an' and 'some' follow the same pattern: un (masculine singular), una (feminine singular), unos (masculine plural) and unas (feminine plural).
西班牙语中表示“the”的词会根据名词的性和数变化。阳性单数用 el(el libro),阴性单数用 la(la casa),阳性复数用 los(los libros),阴性复数用 las(las casas)。不定冠词“a/an”和“some”也遵循相同模式:阳性单数 un,阴性单数 una,阳性复数 unos,阴性复数 unas。
Articles must match the noun they introduce. Even if you learn a new noun, checking its article helps you remember the gender. For example, el problema is masculine, while la mano is feminine, even though they end in -a and -o.
冠词必须与它所修饰的名词保持一致。即使你刚学到一个新名词,查看它的冠词也能帮你记住词性。例如,el problema 是阳性,而 la mano 是阴性,尽管它们分别以 -a 和 -o 结尾。
2. Noun Gender and Number | 名词的性与数
la chica, la mesa). To form the plural, add -s if the noun ends in a vowel (libro → libros) and -es if it ends in a consonant (profesor → profesores).
每个西班牙语名词都有阳性和阴性之分。大多数以 -o 结尾的名词是阳性(el chico 男孩, el colegio 学校),大多数以 -a 结尾的是阴性(la chica 女孩, la mesa 桌子)。构成复数时,以元音结尾的名词加 -s(libro → libros),以辅音结尾的名词加 -es(profesor → profesores)。
Be aware of common exceptions: el día (day) is masculine, la foto (photo) is feminine. Nouns ending in -ción, -sión and -dad are usually feminine (la canción, la televisió iudad). When a singular noun ends in -z, change the -z to -c and add -es for the plural (lápiz → lápices).
要注意常见的例外情况:el día(天)是阳性,la foto(照片)是阴性。以 -ción、-sión 和 -dad 结尾的名词通常为阴性(la canción 歌曲, la televisión 电视, la ciudad 城市)。当单数名词以 -z 结尾时,变复数要把 -z 改为 -c 再加 -es(lápiz → lápices 铅笔)。
3. Adjective Agreement | 形容词的性数一致
Adjectives in Spanish change their ending to match the gender and number of the noun they describe. An adjective ending in -o in its base form has four forms: -o (masculine singular), -a (feminine singular), -os (masculine plural) and -as (feminine plural). For example, 'a red book' is un libro rojo and 'some red houses' is unas casas rojas.
西班牙语形容词需要根据所修饰名词的性和数改变词尾。以 -o 为基本形式的形容词有四种形式:-o(阳性单数)、-a(阴性单数)、-os(阳性复数)和 -as(阴性复数)。例如,“一本红色的书”是 un libro rojo,“一些红色的房子”是 unas casas rojas。
Adjectives ending in -e or a consonant usually have the same form for both masculine and feminine singular, and add -s or -es for plurals: un chico inteligente / una chica inteligente, un examen difícil / una tarea difícil. However, adjectives of nationality ending in a consonant add -a for the feminine: español → española.
以 -e 或辅音结尾的形容词通常在阳性和阴性单数中形式相同,复数加 -s 或 -es:un chico inteligente / una chica inteligente(聪明的男孩/女孩),un examen difícil / una tarea difícil(困难的考试/任务)。但是,以辅音结尾的国籍形容词在变为阴性时要加 -a:español → española。
Adjectives usually go after the noun in Spanish, unlike in English. So 'a big house' is una casa grande. Some common adjectives like bueno (good) and malo (bad) can appear before the noun, and they shorten to buen and mal before a masculine singular noun: un buen libro.
与英语不同,西班牙语形容词通常放在名词之后。因此“一栋大房子”是 una casa grande。一些常用形容词如 bueno(好的)和 malo(坏的)可以放在名词前面,在阳性单数名词前会缩写成 buen 和 mal:un buen libro(一本好书)。
4. Subject Pronouns | 主格人称代词
Spanish subject pronouns tell you who is performing the action. The full set is: yo (I), tú (you, informal singular), él (he), ella (she), usted (you, formal singular), nosotros/nosotras (we), vosotros/vosotras (you, informal plural, used mainly in Spain), ellos/ellas (they), ustedes (you, formal plural). In Year 8, focus on yo, tú, él/ella, nosotros, vosotros, ellos/ellas for everyday classroom talk.
西班牙语主格人称代词表明动作的执行者。完整的人称代词为:yo 我,tú 你(非正式单数),él 他,ella 她,usted 您(正式单数),nosotros/nosotras 我们,vosotros/vosotras 你们(非正式复数,主要在西班牙使用),ellos/ellas 他们/她们,ustedes 您们。在 Year 8 的学习中,重点掌握 yo, tú, él/ella, nosotros, vosotros, ellos/ellas 用于日常课堂对话。
Subject pronouns are often omitted in Spanish because the verb ending already shows who is doing the action. You might say Hablo español (I speak Spanish) without yo unless you want to emphasise who is speaking. However, including the pronoun is never wrong and can be helpful while you are learning.
西班牙语中主语代词经常省略,因为动词词尾已经表明了动作的执行者。你可以说 Hablo español(我说西班牙语)而不加 yo,除非你想强调说话者是谁。不过在学习阶段,加上代词也绝不会错,还能帮助你更清楚地表达。
5. Present Tense Conjugation: Regular Verbs | 现在时规则动词变位
Spanish verbs belong to three families: -ar, -er and -ir. To form the present tense, take the infinitive stem (remove -ar/-er/-ir) and add the correct endings. For -ar verbs like hablar (to speak): hablo, hablas, habla, hablamos, habláis, hablan. For -er verbs like comer (to eat): como, comes, come, comemos, coméis, comen. For -ir verbs like vivir (to live): vivo, vives, vive, vivimos, vivís, viven.
西班牙语动词分为三类:-ar、-er 和 -ir。构成现在时的规则是,去掉不定式词尾(-ar/-er/-ir)保留词干,然后加上对应的词尾。以 -ar 动词 hablar(说话)为例:hablo, hablas, habla, hablamos, habláis, hablan。以 -er 动词 comer(吃)为例:como, comes, come, comemos, coméis, comen。以 -ir 动词 vivir(生活)为例:vivo, vives, vive, vivimos, vivís, viven。
A handy pattern: notice that the -er and -ir endings are almost identical except in the 'we' and 'you plural' forms. Learning one -ar verb, one -er verb and one -ir verb thoroughly will give you the template for hundreds of regular verbs. Always check if the verb is regular before applying these endings.
一个实用的规律:注意 -er 和 -ir 的词尾除了“我们”和“你们”形式外几乎完全相同。把 -ar、-er、-ir 动词各熟练掌握一个,你就能套用到数百个规则动词上。在使用这些词尾之前,一定要确认动词是否为规则动词。
6. Key Irregular Verbs: ser, estar, tener, ir | 重点不规则动词:ser、estar、tener、ir
Four essential verbs behave differently in the present tense and must be memorised. Ser (to be, permanent) is conjugated: soy, eres, es, somos, sois, son. Estar (to be, temporary/location) is: estoy, estás, está, estamos, estáis, están. Tener (to have) is: tengo, tienes, tiene, tenemos, tenéis, tienen. Ir (to go) is: voy, vas, va, vamos, vais, van.
有四个核心动词在现在时中变化特殊,必须牢记。Ser(是,表示永久特征)的变位:soy, eres, es, somos, sois, son。Estar(是/在,表示临时状态或位置)的变位:estoy, estás, está, estamos, estáis, están。Tener(有)的变位:tengo, tienes, tiene, tenemos, tenéis, tienen。Ir(去)的变位:voy, vas, va, vamos, vais, van。
Use ser for descriptions, nationality, time, and personality: Soy inglesa (I am English), Son las dos (It is two o'clock). Use estar for location, mood and temporary conditions: Estoy en casa (I am at home), Está cansado (He is tired). Tener is used for age and many idiomatic expressions: Tengo doce años (I am twelve years old), Tengo hambre (I am hungry). Ir is often followed by a to express the near future: Voy a estudiar (I am going to study).
Ser 用于描述、国籍、时间和性格特征:Soy inglesa(我是英国人),Son las dos(现在是两点钟)。Estar 用于位置、情绪和暂时状态:Estoy en casa(我在家),Está cansado(他累了)。Tener 用于表达年龄和许多习惯用语:Tengo doce años(我十二岁),Tengo hambre(我饿了)。Ir 常与 a 连用表示不久的将来:Voy a estudiar(我打算去学习)。
7. The Verb gustar and Similar Verbs | 动词 gustar 及类似结构
The verb gustar works differently from English 'to like'. It means 'to be pleasing to' and uses indirect object pronouns. The main forms are me gusta (I like, for singular nouns or infinitives), te gusta (you like), le gusta (he/she/you formal like), nos gusta (we like), os gusta (you plural like), les gusta (they/you plural like). If what you like is plural, use gustan: Me gustan los deportes (I like sports).
动词 gustar 的用法与英语的“喜欢”完全不同。它的意思是“令……喜欢”,需使用与格代词。主要形式为:me gusta(我喜欢,接单数名词或动词不定式),te gusta(你喜欢),le gusta(他/她/您喜欢),nos gusta(我们喜欢),os gusta(你们喜欢),les gusta(他们/您们喜欢)。如果喜欢的事物是复数,则使用 gustan:Me gustan los deportes(我喜欢运动)。
Always place the pronoun before gusta or gustan. To say what you like to do, use an infinitive: Me gusta bailar (I like to dance). Other verbs that follow the same pattern include encantar (to love), interesar (to interest) and aburrir (to bore): Me encanta la música (I love music).
代词一定要放在 gusta 或 gustan 之前。要表达喜欢做什么,用动词不定式:Me gusta bailar(我喜欢跳舞)。其他遵循同样结构的动词有 encantar(超爱)、interesar(使感兴趣)和 aburrir(使厌烦):Me encanta la música(我超爱音乐)。
8. Question Words and Forming Questions | 疑问词与疑问句构成
To ask for information, use these question words, all of which carry a written accent: ¿Qué? (What?), ¿Quién? (Who?), ¿Cuándo? (When?), ¿Dónde? (Where?), ¿Por qué? (Why?), ¿Cómo? (How?), ¿Cuál? (Which?) and ¿Cuántos/as? (How many?). In Spanish, question marks appear at the beginning and the end of the question: ¿Cómo estás?
要获取信息,请使用以下疑问词,它们都带有重音符号:¿Qué?(什么?),¿Quién?(谁?),¿Cuándo?(什么时候?),¿Dónde?(哪里?),¿Por qué?(为什么?),¿Cómo?(怎么样?),¿Cuál?(哪一个?)和 ¿Cuántos/as?(多少?)。西班牙语的疑问句前后都要加问号:¿Cómo estás?(你好吗?)。
You can also form a question by simply raising your voice at the end of a statement: Hablas español, ¿no? (You speak Spanish, don't you?). When the question word is followed by a verb, the subject often comes after the verb: ¿Dónde vive tu hermana? (Where does your sister live?).
你也可以通过陈述句句末上扬语调来构成问句:Hablas español, ¿no?(你说西班牙语,对吗?)。当疑问词后面跟动词时,主语通常放在动词之后:¿Dónde vive tu hermana?(你姐姐住在哪里?)。
9. Negation and Basic Sentence Patterns | 否定与基本句型
To make a sentence negative in Spanish, place no directly before the verb. For example, Estudio mucho (I study a lot) becomes No estudio mucho (I do not study a lot). If a subject pronoun is used, no goes between the pronoun and the verb: Ella no canta (She does not sing).
在西班牙语中,要构成否定句,只需把 no 直接放在动词前面。例如,Estudio mucho(我学习很多)变成 No estudio mucho(我不怎么学习)。如果使用了主语代词,no 要放在代词和动词之间:Ella no canta(她不唱歌)。
Other negative words like nunca (never), nada (nothing) and nadie (nobody) can replace no or be used together with it. If they come before the verb, do not use no: Nunca como carne (I never eat meat). If they come after the verb, you must keep no: No como nada (I do not eat anything).
其他否定词如 nunca(从不)、nada(没有任何东西)和 nadie(没有人)可以取代 no,也可以与 no 连用。如果它们出现在动词之前,就不用加 no:Nunca como carne(我从不吃肉)。如果它们出现在动词之后,则必须保留 no:No como nada(我什么也不吃)。
Basic sentence order is typically Subject-Verb-Object, as in English, but word order is somewhat flexible due to the verb endings. Adjectives follow nouns, and indirect object pronouns often precede the verb: Te doy el libro (I give you the book).
基本句序通常为主语-动词-宾语,与英语类似,但由于动词词尾能够表明人称,语序有一定的灵活性。形容词放在名词之后,间接宾语代词常放在动词之前:Te doy el libro(我给你这本书)。
10. Numbers, Dates and Time Expressions | 数字、日期与时间表达
Numbers are essential for everyday communication. Learn the following accurately: 0-15 are unique words (cero, uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez, once, doce, trece, catorce, quince). From 16 to 29 combine dieci + unit (dieciséis, diecisiete, dieciocho, diecinueve) or use veinte and variant (veintiuno, veintidós). Tens from 30 are treinta, cuarenta, cincuenta, sesenta, setenta, ochenta, noventa, cien. Note ciento is used for numbers above 100, e.g. ciento uno.
Dates use the formula: Es el + number + de + month. The first of the month is el primero, all others use cardinal numbers: Es el dos de mayo (It is the second of May). Days of the week are lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes, sábado, domingo and are not capitalised.
表达日期使用公式:Es el + 数字 + de + 月份。每月一号用 el primero,其他日期用基数词:Es el dos de mayo(五月二号)。星期分别是 lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes, sábado, domingo,并且不大写。
Telling time starts with Es la una for 1:00 and Son las + number for all other hours. Add y cuarto (quarter past), y media (half past), or menos cuarto (quarter to). Minutes are added with y or subtracted with menos: Son las tres y diez (3:10), Son las cuatro menos veinte (3:40).
表示时间时,1:00 用 Es la una,其他钟点用 Son las + 数字。加 y cuarto(过一刻)、y media(过半)或 menos cuarto(差一刻)。分钟用 y 加上或用 menos 减去:Son las tres y diez(3:10),Son las cuatro menos veinte(3:40)。
