1. Gender of Nouns | 名词的性别公式
Every French noun is masculine (m.) or feminine (f.). While there is no one perfect rule, a helpful 'formula' is: nouns ending in -e are usually feminine, and those ending in a consonant or other vowels tend to be masculine. Common masculine endings include -age, -ment, -eau, -isme. Feminine endings often include -tion, -sion, -té, -ette.
每个法语名词都有阳性或阴性。虽然没有绝对完美的规则,但有一条有用的“公式”:以 -e 结尾的名词通常是阴性,以辅音或其他元音结尾的名词倾向为阳性。常见的阳性词尾有 -age, -ment, -eau, -isme。阴性词尾常有 -tion, -sion, -té, -ette。
Check the dictionary: 'n.m.' means masculine, 'n.f.' means feminine. Always learn the article with the noun: le livre (m.), la table (f.).
查词典:“n.m.”表示阳性,“n.f.”表示阴性。务必连冠词一起记住名词:le livre 书(阳),la table 桌子(阴)。
2. Definite and Indefinite Articles | 定冠词与不定冠词公式
The article formula depends on gender and number. Definite articles (the): le + masculine singular, la + feminine singular, l' before a vowel or mute h, les for all plurals.
冠词公式取决于性与数。定冠词(相当于“这/那个”):le + 阳性单数,la + 阴性单数,l' 用于元音或哑音h前,les 用于所有复数。
Indefinite articles (a/an/some): un for masculine singular, une for feminine singular, des for all plurals. After a negative and before a noun, des changes to de (or d’).
不定冠词(一个/一些):un 阳性单数,une 阴性单数,des 复数。在否定句且直接位于名词前时,des 变为 de(或 d')。
J’ai un stylo. → Je n’ai pas de stylo.
3. Plural of Nouns | 名词复数公式
The general formula: add -s to the singular form. chat → chats; fille → filles. Nouns ending in -s, -x, -z do not change in the plural. Nouns ending in -eau, -au add -x: bateau → bateaux. Some ending in -al change to -aux: animal → animaux.
基本复数公式:单数形式后加 -s。以 -s, -x, -z 结尾的名词复数不变。以 -eau, -au 结尾的名词加 -x。部分以 -al 结尾的名词变为 -aux。
There are exceptions: oeil → yeux, monsieur → messieurs. Always check an irregular plural when learning new vocabulary.
例外:oeil → yeux,monsieur → messieurs。学新单词时务必查清不规则复数。
4. Adjective Agreement | 形容词一致公式
Adjectives must agree in gender and number with the noun they describe. Add -e for feminine singular: petit → petite. For masculine plural add -s: petits. For feminine plural add -es: petites. If the masculine already ends in -e, the feminine does not change: rouge stays rouge.
形容词须与所修饰名词的性、数一致。阴性单数加 -e,阳性复数加 -s,阴性复数加 -es。若阳性已以 -e 结尾,阴性不变,如 rouge。
Some adjectives have irregular feminine forms: blanc → blanche, bon → bonne, cher → chère, vieux → vieille. Position: most go after the noun, but common exceptions like beau, bon, grand, petit, jeune, vieux go before.
部分形容词有特殊阴性形式:blanc → blanche, bon → bonne。位置公式:多数形容词位于名词后,但常用的如 beau, bon, grand, petit, jeune, vieux 要放在名词前。
une belle maison blanche (a beautiful white house)
5. Present Tense: -er Verbs | 现在时 -er 动词变位公式
This is the largest group of French verbs. Formula: remove -er and add endings: -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent.
这是最大的动词组。变位公式:去掉 -er 加上词尾:-e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent。
| je | parle | I speak |
| tu | parles | you speak (informal) |
| il/elle/on | parle | he/she/one speaks |
| nous | parlons | we speak |
| vous | parlez | you speak (formal/plural) |
| ils/elles | parlent | they speak |
Note: the je, tu, il/elle/on and ils/elles endings are silent. The nous and vous endings are pronounced clearly.
注意:je, tu, il/elle/on 和 ils/elles 的词尾不发音。nous 和 vous 的词尾清晰发音。
6. Present Tense: -ir and -re Verbs | 现在时 -ir 与 -re 动词变位公式
For regular -ir verbs, the formula is: remove -ir and add -is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent. Example: finir (to finish). For regular -re verbs, remove -re and add -s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent. Example: vendre (to sell).
规则 -ir 动词公式:去掉 -ir 加 -is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent。规则 -re 动词公式:去掉 -re 加 -s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent。
Remember: for -re verbs, the il/elle/on form ends with nothing extra after the stem (just a consonant). je vends, tu vends, il vend, nous vendons, vous vendez, ils vendent.
记住:-re 动词的 il/elle/on 形式在词干后不加额外字母。je vends, tu vends, il vend。
7. Key Irregular Verbs | 关键不规则动词公式
Four essential verbs must be memorised: être (to be), avoir (to have), aller (to go), faire (to do/make).
四个核心动词必须牢记:être (是), avoir (有), aller (去), faire (做)。
| être | avoir | aller | faire | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| je/j' | suis | ai | vais | fais |
| tu | es | as | vas | fais |
| il/elle/on | est | a | va | fait |
| nous | sommes | avons | allons | faisons |
| vous | êtes | avez | allez | faites |
| ils/elles | sont | ont | vont | font |
Also learn common irregulars: pouvoir (je peux), vouloir (je veux), devoir (je dois), voir (je vois), venir (je viens), prendre (je prends).
还要学习常用不规则动词:pouvoir (je peux), vouloir (je veux), devoir (je dois), voir (je vois), venir (je viens), prendre (je prends)。
8. The Negative Form | 否定式公式
The basic negative formula wraps around the conjugated verb: ne (n’) + verb + pas. If the verb starts with a vowel or h, use n’.
基本否定公式将变位动词包围起来:ne (n’) + 动词 + pas。动词以元音或哑音h开头时,用 n’。
Je parle → Je ne parle pas. Il aime → Il n’aime pas.
With compound tenses (future: aller + infinitive), ne ... pas goes around the first verb: Je ne vais pas manger. Other negative expressions: ne ... jamais (never), ne ... rien (nothing), ne ... plus (no longer).
在复合时态(如最近将来时 aller + 不定式)中,ne ... pas 包围第一个动词。其他否定表达:ne ... jamais (从不), ne ... rien (没什么), ne ... plus (不再)。
9. Asking Questions | 提问公式
There are three main question formulas: 1) Rising intonation: Tu parles français ? (informal). 2) Est-ce que + statement: Est-ce que tu parles français ? (standard). 3) Inversion: verb-subject: Parles-tu français ? (formal).
有三种主要提问公式:1) 升调:Tu parles français ? (非正式) 2) Est-ce que + 陈述句:Est-ce que tu parles français ? (标准) 3) 倒装:动词-主语:Parles-tu français ? (正式)。
For inverted questions with il/elle/on ending in a vowel, add -t-: A-t-il un chien ?. Question words like où, quand, comment, pourquoi, qui can go at the start or with est-ce que: Où habites-tu ? / Où est-ce que tu habites ?
对于 il/elle/on 且动词以元音结尾的倒装,加上 -t-:A-t-il un chien ? 疑问词 où, quand, comment, pourquoi, qui 可以放在开头,或与 est-ce que 连用。
10. Possessive Adjectives | 物主形容词公式
The formula agrees with the possessed object's gender and number, not the possessor. For 'my': mon + masculine singular, ma + feminine singular, mes + plural. But before a feminine word starting with a vowel, use mon to ease pronunciation: mon amie (not ma amie).
物主形容词与被拥有者的性数一致,而非拥有者。我的:mon + 阳性单数,ma + 阴性单数,mes + 复数。但在以元音开头的阴性词前,用 mon:mon amie。
| my | mon/ma/mes | our | notre/nos |
| your (sg) | ton/ta/tes | your (pl) | votre/vos |
| his/her/its | son/sa/ses | their | leur/leurs |
Son, sa, ses can mean his or her depending on context. Son livre = his book or her book. The gender is of the book (masculine).
Son, sa, ses 可根据上下文表示“他的”或“她的”。Son livre 可以是他的书或她的书,因为 livre 是阳性。
11. Partitive Articles & 'de' After Negation | 部分冠词与否定后 de 公式
Partitive articles mean 'some' or 'any' and are used before uncountable nouns or abstract nouns. Formula: du + masculine, de la + feminine, de l' before vowel, des + plural (but often becomes de in negative sentences).
部分冠词表示“一些”,用于不可数或抽象名词前。公式:du + 阳性,de la + 阴性,de l' 用于元音前,des + 复数(但在否定句中常变为 de)。
Je mange du pain. → Je ne mange pas de pain.
This also applies to indefinite articles: J’ai une soeur. → Je n’ai pas de soeur. After expressions of quantity (beaucoup de, assez de, trop de), use de (or d’) with no article: beaucoup de livres.
这个规则也适用于不定冠词:J’ai une soeur → Je n’ai pas de soeur。在数量表达后 (beaucoup de, assez de, trop de) 直接用 de 不加冠词。
12. Prepositions & Location | 介词与地点公式
Use à for 'to' or 'at' a city: à Paris. Use en for feminine countries and continents: en France, en Asie. Use au for masculine countries: au Canada, aux États-Unis. Use dans + an enclosed space: dans la maison. Use sur for 'on', sous for 'under', devant (in front of), derrière (behind), entre (between).
城市前用 à:à Paris。阴性国名和大洲前用 en:en France, en Asie。阳性国名前用 au:au Canada, aux États-Unis。封闭空间用 dans:dans la maison。sur 表示“在…上”,sous “在…下”,devant “在…前”,derrière “在…后”,entre “在…之间”。
De + definite article contracts: de + le = du, de + les = des. À + le = au, à + les = aux. Je viens du collège. Je vais au cinéma.
De 与定冠词缩合:de + le = du, de + les = des。À + le = au, à + les = aux。Je viens du collège (我从学校来)。Je vais au cinéma (我去电影院)。
