This handbook collects the most important language patterns, grammar rules, and writing techniques that Year 8 CIE Chinese learners need to master. Think of each entry as a ready‑to‑use formula: apply it correctly, and your Chinese will instantly become more accurate and expressive.
本手册汇集了 Year 8 CIE 中文课程中最核心的语言模式、语法规则和写作技巧。每一个条目都可以看作一条可以直接套用的公式:只要正确应用,你的中文立即就会变得更准确、更有表现力。
1. Basic Sentence Formulas | 基本句型公式
A sentence in Chinese can almost always be reduced to one of four core patterns. Memorising these formulas helps you avoid the most common word‑order mistakes.
中文的句子几乎都可以归纳为四种核心模式。记住这些公式,可以帮助你避免最常见的语序错误。
- Subject + Verb + Object: 我 吃 苹果。
I eat an apple. - 我 吃 苹果。
- Subject + Time + Verb + Object: 我 每天 看 书。
Every day I read books. - 我 每天 看 书。
- Subject + Place + Verb + Object: 他 在 图书馆 写 作业。
He does homework in the library. - 他 在 图书馆 写 作业。
- Topic + Comment: 苹果 我 吃了。
As for the apple, I ate it. - 苹果 我 吃了。
Whenever you build a sentence, check whether your word order fits one of these formulas. If it does not, you may be translating English structure too directly.
每当你造一个句子时,检查一下语序是否符合上述某一种公式。如果不符合,你很可能是在直接翻译英语的结构。
2. The “Shì…de” Construction Formula | “是……的”强调结构公式
Use this formula when you want to highlight the time, place, or manner of a past action. The pattern is Subject + 是 + [detail] + Verb + 的.
当你想强调过去某个动作发生的时间、地点或方式时,就使用这个公式。结构是:主语 + 是 + [细节] + 动词 + 的。
| Element | Example | Meaning |
| Time | 我是昨天去的。 | It was yesterday that I went. |
| Place | 他是在学校看到的。 | It was at school that he saw it. |
| Manner | 我们是坐火车来的。 | We came by train. |
Do not use 是……的 for ongoing or future actions. If there is no object, 的 stays at the end; if there is an object, 的 often comes before the object.
不要将“是……的”用于正在进行或未来的动作。如果没有宾语,“的”放在句尾;如果有宾语,“的”通常放在宾语之前。
3. The 把 (bǎ) Sentence Formula | “把”字句公式
The 把 construction is used when an action is performed on a definite object, causing a change, a result, or a displacement. The fixed formula is Subject + 把 + Object + Verb + Complement/Result.
“把”字句用于对某个特定宾语施加动作,并使其发生改变、产生结果或发生位移。固定公式是:主语 + 把 + 宾语 + 动词 + 补语/结果。
公式:S + 把 + O + V + Comp.
- 我 把 作业 做 完了。 —— I finished the homework. (result complement 完)
- 我 把 作业 做 完了。
- 请 把 书 放 在桌子上。 —— Please put the book on the table. (location complement)
- 请 把 书 放 在桌子上。
- 他 把 杯子 打 破了。 —— He broke the cup. (result complement 破)
- 他 把 杯子 打 破了。
Do not use 把 if the object is not definite or the verb has no complement. Also avoid it with verbs of perception like 看见 or 知道.
如果宾语不是确指的,或者动词没有补语,就不要使用“把”字句。此外,像“看见”、“知道”这类感知动词也不能用于“把”字句。
4. The 被 (bèi) Passive Formula | “被”字被动公式
The 被 sentence expresses that the subject suffers an action performed by someone or something else. The full formula is Receiver + 被 + Doer + Verb + Complement, but the doer can be omitted.
“被”字句表示主语承受了由他人或他物发出的动作。完整公式为:受事者 + 被 + 施事者 + 动词 + 补语,但施事者可以省略。
公式:R + 被 (+ D) + V + Comp.
- 我的手机 被 偷 了。 —— My phone was stolen. (doer omitted)
- 我的手机 被 偷 了。
- 他 被 老师 批评 了一顿。 —— He was criticised by the teacher.
- 他 被 老师 批评 了一顿。
Use 被 for negative or unfortunate events; in formal writing, 被 can be replaced by 叫 or 让 in spoken Chinese, but the doer must then appear.
“被”多用于不幸或不如意的事件;在口语中“被”可以换成“叫”或“让”,但此时施事者必须出现。
5. The Rhetorical Question Formulas | 反问句公式
Rhetorical questions in Chinese follow a small set of predictable patterns. They do not expect an answer but serve to strengthen the statement.
中文的反问句遵循几种可预见的模式。它们并不期望回答,而是用来加强语气。
| Formula | Example | Implied Meaning |
| 不是……吗? | 你不是明天有考试吗? | You do have an exam tomorrow, don't you? |
| 难道……吗? | 难道你不相信我? | Don't tell me you don't believe me? |
| 怎么/哪 能/会……? | 我怎么能忘记呢? | How could I ever forget? |
When you see 不是……吗, the actual meaning is affirmative. 难道……吗 implies "Don't tell me that…". Using these formulas makes your argument more persuasive in both speech and writing.
当你看到“不是……吗”,实际意思是肯定的。“难道……吗”则暗示“难道说……”。在口语和写作中使用这些公式,能让你的论述更有说服力。
6. Paired Conjunction Formulas | 关联词语搭配公式
Complex ideas often require a fixed pair of conjunctions. These pairs must be learned as whole formulas; mixing them up is a very common error.
复杂的逻辑关系常常需要固定的关联词搭配。这些搭配必须作为整体公式记住;混淆搭配是一种非常常见的错误。
- 因为……所以……:因为下雨,所以运动会延期了。
Because it rained, the sports day was postponed. - 因为下雨,所以运动会延期了。
- 虽然……但是……:虽然题目很难,但是他做出来了。
Although the problem was difficult, he solved it. - 虽然题目很难,但是他做出来了。
- 只要……就……:只要努力,就能进步。
As long as you work hard, you will improve. - 只要努力,就能进步。
- 不但……而且……:他不但会说中文,而且会写汉字。
He not only speaks Chinese but also writes characters. - 他不但会说中文,而且会写汉字。
Never break a fixed pair. If you start with 虽然, you must follow with 但是; 尽管 pairs with 还是, never with 但是.
绝对不要拆散固定搭配。如果你以“虽然”开头,后面就必须用“但是”;“尽管”和“还是”搭配,不能和“但是”搭配。
7. The Modifier Formula: 的, 地, 得 | 的、地、得修饰公式
These three structural particles work like mathematical operators. Each appears in a fixed position. The formula depends on what you are modifying.
这三个结构助词就像数学运算符,各自有固定的位置。公式取决于你所修饰的成分。
的 + Noun | 地 + Verb | Verb + 得 + Complement
- 我的书 (my book) —— 的 marks a possessive or attributive.
- 我的书 —— “的”表示领属或定语。
- 快快地跑 (run quickly) —— 地 links an adverbial to a verb.
- 快快地跑 —— “地”连接状语和动词。
- 跑得很快 (run very fast) —— 得 introduces a degree or result complement.
- 跑得很快 —— “得”引出程度或结果补语。
A quick self‑check: if the next word is a noun, use 的; if a verb, use 地 before it or 得 after it.
快速自查方法:如果下一个词是名词,用“的”;如果是动词,在它前面用“地”,在它后面用“得”。
8. The 了 (le) Rule‑of‑Thumb Formulas | “了”速判公式
了 causes endless confusion because it acts as both a completion marker (aspect 了) and a change‑of‑state marker (modal 了). Use these two formulas to decide.
“了”让人头疼不已,因为它既是完成态标记(动态助词“了”),又是变化态标记(语气助词“了”)。用下面两个公式来判定。
- Verb + 了 + Object (completion): 我吃了饭。
I ate (and finished) the meal. - 我吃了饭。
- Adjective/Noun + 了 (change of state): 天黑了。/ 春天了。
It has become dark./ It is spring now. - 天黑了。/ 春天了。
If the verb has a number or a quantified object, 了 usually stays close to the verb: 我学了两年中文。Never use 了 with habitual actions or verbs like 是, 在, 有 unless it expresses a change.
如果动词带数量宾语,“了”通常紧跟在动词后:我学了两年中文。表示经常性动作时不要用“了”,与“是、在、有”连用时,除非表示变化,否则也不加“了”。
9. Comparative Formula Chain | 比较句公式链
Chinese comparisons follow a strict logic. You can graduate from simple comparisons to complex ones by adding elements to the basic formula.
中文的比较句遵循严格的逻辑。你可以在基本公式上添加成分,从简单比较过渡到复杂比较。
A 比 B + Adj. ( basic) → A 比 B + Adj. + 一点/得多 (degree) → A 比 B + 还/更 + Adj. ( emphasis)
- 我比你高。 —— I am taller than you.
- 我比你高。
- 我比你高一点。 —— I am a little taller than you.
- 我比你高一点。
- 我比你高得多。 —— I am much taller than you.
- 我比你高得多。
- 他比我还高。 —— He is even taller than me.
- 他比我还高。
The negative form uses 没有 or 不如: 我没有你高。Never use 不 with 比 in a simple negation; 不比 means something quite different ("not necessarily more … than").
否定形式用“没有”或“不如”:我没有你高。不要在简单否定中用“不比”,因为“不比”表示“不见得比……更……”,意思完全不同。
10. Discourse Cohesion Formulas | 篇章衔接公式
To move from sentence‑level accuracy to paragraph‑level fluency, you need a set of “glue” formulas that link ideas together. Master these four types.
要从单句准确过渡到段落流畅,你需要一套把观点串联起来的“胶水”公式。掌握以下四类。
| Function | Formula | Example Opening |
| Sequence | 首先……其次……最后…… | 首先,我们要保护环境。其次…… |
| Addition | 另外,…… / 此外,…… | 另外,饮食也很重要。 |
| Contrast | 然而,…… / 相反,…… | 然而,有些人并不这样认为。 |
| Conclusion | 总之,…… / 由此可见,…… | 总之,健康的生活方式很重要。 |
In your writing, begin each new idea with one of these formulaic phrases. This instantly creates a thread that the examiner can easily follow, boosting your organisation score.
在你的作文中,每展开一个新观点都用一个这样的公式化短语开头。这能立刻营造出一条考官可以轻松跟随的线索,从而提高你的组织结构分。
11. Classical Chinese Short‑cut Formulas | 文言速查公式
Even at Year 8, you will encounter short classical passages or idioms. Recognising a few high‑frequency structures gives you a huge advantage in comprehension.
即使在 Year 8,你也会接触到简短的文言文段落或成语。识别几个高频结构能给你的阅读理解带来巨大优势。
- ……者,……也 → definition pattern: 陈胜者,阳城人也。= Chén Shèng was a man of Yángchéng.
- ……者,……也 → 判断句式:陈胜者,阳城人也。
- 之 (possessive/structural): 人之初 = the beginning of man.
- 之(领属/结构助词):人之初。
- 而 (and, yet, then): 学而时习之 = learn and regularly review it.
- 而(并列、转折、承接):学而时习之。
Whenever you see a …者,…也 structure, the sentence is telling you what something is. Treat 之 as a flexible connector, often equivalent to modern 的.
每当你看到“……者,……也”结构,这句话就是在告诉你某事物是什么。把“之”当作一个灵活的连接词,常常等同于现代汉语的“的”。
12. Idiom and Chengyu Quick‑Application Formulas | 成语套用公式
Idioms are high‑return items in both writing and speaking. Instead of memorising random lists, learn them in application formulas: [Topic] + idiom + [explanation].
成语在写作和口语中都是高分利器。与其死记硬背随意列表,不如在应用公式中学习:话题 + 成语 + 解释。
| Topic | Formula with Idiom | English Gloss |
| Hard work | 学习中文要持之以恒,不能三天打鱼两天晒网。 | Persevere, not on‑and‑off. |
| Friendship | 真正的朋友会雪中送炭,而不是锦上添花。 | True friends help in need, not just in good times. |
| Study | 学海无涯,我们应该谦虚好学。 | Knowledge is boundless, so stay humble and eager. |
By slotting the idiom into a ready‑made sentence frame, you avoid misuse and demonstrate native‑like expression. Always add one sentence of explanation to show you understand the idiom's meaning.
把成语嵌入一个现成的句子框架,既可以避免误用,又能展现出接近母语者的表达。务必再加一句解释,表明你理解这个成语的意思。
