AQA AS and A Level Further Maths Formulae Booklet: Complete Guide | AQA AS 与 A Level 进阶数学公式册完全指南

📚 AQA AS and A Level Further Maths Formulae Booklet: Complete Guide | AQA AS 与 A Level 进阶数学公式册完全指南

Every AQA Further Mathematics examination is accompanied by an official formulae booklet. Knowing exactly what is inside that booklet - and what is deliberately left out - changes how you revise, how you plan an answer, and how quickly you can finish a paper. This guide explains what the AQA AS and A Level Further Maths formulae booklet contains, how to download the official PDF, how the content is organised across Core Pure and the optional units, and how to use the booklet efficiently in the exam hall.

1. What the AQA Further Maths Formulae Booklet Is | AQA

The AQA formulae booklet is the official reference sheet issued for AS Further Mathematics (7366) and A Level Further Mathematics (7367). AQA's design principle is straightforward: standard results that are difficult to recall from memory are printed, while definitions, derivations and routine algebraic manipulation are not. In other words, the booklet exists so that examiners test your reasoning rather than your memory of long formulae.

trix, or the area enclosed by a polar curve, but it will not tell you when to apply them, how to set up the integral, or how to interpret the final answer in context.

The booklet is normally supplied with the examination paper, so you do not have to memorise its contents, and in most centres you may not bring an annotated personal copy into the exam room. Treat the school-provided version as the only version you will actually see under exam conditions.

• Core Pure: series, matrices, complex numbers, further calculus, polar coordinates, hyperbolic functions, differential equations and numerical methods.
• Further Mechanics: impulse, momentum, work and energy, circular motion, elastic strings and springs, simple harmonic motion.
• Further Statistics: discrete and continuous distributions, hypothesis tests, chi-squared tests, correlation and regression.
• Discrete and Decision Mathematics: graph theory, sorting and search algorithms, network flow, critical path analysis, linear programming.

2. Download the Official AQA Formulae Sheet | 下载官方 AQA 公式册

The most convenient copy of the AQA AS and A Level Further Maths formulae sheet that we keep on file is linked below. It is the standard PDF layout that AQA publishes through the assessment resources area of its website, so it matches the printed insert you will meet in the exam.

Always compare the file you download with the version printed in the current specification's assessment resources page. AQA occasionally reformats the booklet or adjusts notation, and an old copy can show a formula in a style that markers no longer expect. If your teacher hands out a booklet at the start of the course, that version takes priority.

A practical tip: print the PDF double-sided and keep one clean copy in your folder and one clean copy on your desk at home. The clean copy matters, because during revision you should train yourself to find a formula in an unannotated booklet within a few seconds.

3. How the Booklet Is Organised |

The booklet follows the structure of the specification. Core Pure content appears first, because every candidate studies it, and the optional-unit formulae follow afterwards. Within each block the order mirrors the teaching order of the specification: algebra and series, then matrices, then complex numbers, then calculus, and so on.

The AS version is shorter than the A Level version. If you are sitting AS Further Mathematics, the booklet you receive will only cover AS content, so formulae for A Level only topics will not appear. This is worth checking early, because students who revise from an A Level booklet sometimes assume a formula will be given when it will not be.

Notation in the booklet matches the notation used in the specification and mark schemes. Angles in calculus, complex numbers and polar coordinates are in radians unless stated otherwise; vectors are shown in bold or with underlined letters;
