For families with children enrolled at Reigate Grammar School (RGS) while living in Shanghai, matching the school’s famously high academic expectations brings its own kind of challenge. The intensive curriculum, along with possible gaps caused by moving or differing educational backgrounds, makes specialist support essential. Happily, dedicated tutoring services are now available in Shanghai that are tailored precisely to the RGS syllabus—giving students the means not only to stay on track but to thrive.
Targeted Academic Support for Reigate Grammar Pupils
RGS’s curriculum is admired for its depth and rigour, built to stretch bright, motivated learners. Yet that very intensity can mean even top students need a helping hand. Our Shanghai‑based tutoring homes in directly on RGS’s core programmes—GCSEs and A‑Levels—acting as a reliable academic bridge. Because we know what RGS subject teachers look for and how fast the classroom moves, we’re able to offer forward‑thinking support and focused revision.
We don’t settle for generic homework assistance; instead we work to deepen each student’s conceptual understanding. Whether a pupil is wrestling with the intricacies of A‑Level Mathematics, the analytical demands of English Literature, or the precise methods required in the Sciences, our tutors break topics into bite‑sized pieces. The emphasis always falls on solid foundations and developing the critical‑thinking skills that lead to success in RGS exams—and far beyond them.
Adjusting to a British curriculum while living overseas throws up unique obstacles. Our tutors act as mentors, helping students build effective study habits, hone time‑management strategies, and master exam techniques that match RGS assessment styles perfectly. This all‑round support lowers stress, raises confidence, and encourages pupils to become self‑reliant, proactive learners equipped to meet their school’s high standards.
