UCAS Track换志愿 改院校 补申 Extra Clearing

每年 11 月到次年 1 月，是 A-Level 和 IB 学生改主意最密集的几个月：专业方向变了，城市不想去了，或者第一轮递交时把保底校填得太保守。UCAS 的规则并不是提交之后就不能动，只是能动的入口分散在几个阶段里，很多人卡在找不到按钮。这篇把 Track 里真实可用的操作、14 天窗口、Extra 与 Clearing 的适用条件、以及 self-release 的代价讲清楚，附上课程代码和 CAS 的核对清单。

Between November and January, plenty of applicants decide they picked the wrong course, the wrong city, or a set of choices that was too cautious. UCAS does allow changes, but the routes are scattered across stages and none of them sits behind an obvious button. This piece sets out what Track actually lets you do, how the 14-day request works, when Extra and Clearing apply, and what self-release really costs.

Track 里能点的按钮只有这几个

申请递交之后，Track 就成了你唯一能看见进度的页面：每个志愿是审理中、有条件 offer、无条件 offer 还是被拒，条件写在哪一行，回复截止日是哪天，都在这里。很多人第一次登录会去找改学校的入口，翻遍菜单也没有，因为 UCAS 的设计是提交即锁定，志愿本身不能原地替换。Track 真正允许的操作是回复 offer、把两个 offer 设成 firm 和 insurance、拒绝不想要的 offer、在 Extra 和 Clearing 阶段添加新志愿、以及查看 Clearing 空位搜索。个人联系方式和地址可以自己改，姓名和出生日期这类身份信息要联系 UCAS 客服。所以换课程、换院校这件事，答案不在 Track 的某个按钮里，而在时间窗口和阶段规则里。具体措辞每年会调整，操作前先看 UCAS 官网当季的 Track 说明。页面上的状态词也要分清，conditional 是有条件，unconditional 是无条件，前者还挂着成绩要求。

Track is the page that shows where each of your five choices stands: whether it is still being considered, what conditions sit on an offer, and the date by which you must reply. There is no button that swaps one university for another, because UCAS locks the choices once the application is sent; what you can do is accept, decline, or add a new choice during Extra or Clearing. Personal details such as your address or phone number can be edited at any time, while changes to your name or date of birth have to go through UCAS. Rules are reworded from cycle to cycle, so check the current guidance on the UCAS website before you act.

递交后的 14 天：唯一能直接改志愿的窗口

UCAS 的规则里留了一个 14 天的口子：申请发出之后的 14 天内，你可以联系 UCAS 要求更换志愿，换院校、换课程、调整入学年份都算在内。超过这个期限，系统就关上门，剩下的路只有 Extra、Clearing 或者下一轮申请。这个窗口不会自动生效，要你主动写邮件或打电话说明，改完之后新的志愿重新走一遍学校审理，原来那个 offer 随之作废。时间按 UCAS 收到申请的日子算，不是按你点提交的那一刻算，碰上周末和假期还会被压缩。很多人等到第一封拒信到了才想换，那时候窗口早关了。递交之前把五个课程代码和顺序核对一遍，比事后补救省事得多。

For a short period after the application leaves your account, UCAS will still consider a request to swap a choice; the window is 14 days, counted from the moment the application reaches UCAS rather than the moment you press submit. Any change has to be requested in writing, and the replacement choice then goes through fresh assessment, which means an offer already issued for the old choice falls away. Most applicants discover this too late, usually after the first rejection arrives. Check the five course codes and the order of your choices before you send anything, because undoing a mistake afterwards costs weeks.

Extra 的适用条件：五个志愿用完且没有 offer

Extra 每年 2 月下旬开放，到 7 月初结束，面向五个志愿全部用完、手里一个 offer 都没有的申请人。规则是一次只能加一个志愿，学校给出结果之前不能加第二个，被拒了才轮得到下一个。节奏上更像逐个试，不是一口气补满五个。进入 Extra 之前要确认自己没有持有任何 offer，包括没有接受的条件 offer，系统会检查这一项。加进去的志愿同样走正常审理，学校可能要求补材料、加面试或者额外的入学测试。这个阶段名额变化快，今天有空位的课程明天可能就关闭，盯 UCAS 官网的课程搜索页比等邮件有用。

Extra opens in late February and runs until early July, and it exists for applicants who have used all five choices without securing an offer. Only one new choice can be added at a time; you wait for that university's decision before adding another, so the process feels like a series of single bets rather than a second round of five. Anyone still holding a firm or insurance offer is locked out until those offers are declined. Places move quickly at this stage, which is why the UCAS course search page is a better guide than your inbox.

Clearing：7 月到 10 月的空位市场

Clearing 从 7 月初开到 10 月中旬，覆盖没有 offer、没达到条件、以及主动放弃原 offer 的人。Track 里会给出你的 Clearing Number，打电话给大学时招生老师用它调取申请记录，报错了对方查不到你。找空位用 UCAS 官网的 Clearing 搜索，按科目和地区筛，列表更新得很勤。联系之前把成绩单、英语成绩、两句话的选课理由准备好，招生老师常会当场问为什么选这个课程。口头同意之后才回 Track 添加 Clearing 志愿，顺序颠倒会白等一轮。这个阶段没有统一放榜，先到先得的成分很重。

Clearing runs from early July to mid-October and covers applicants with no offers, applicants who missed their conditions, and applicants who walked away from a confirmed place. Your Clearing Number appears in Track and is what admissions staff use to pull up your record when you call. Vacancy lists on the UCAS website change hourly, so a course that is open in the morning may close by the afternoon. Have your grades, English test result and a two-minute explanation of why you want the course ready before you dial; offers are made verbally and only then do you add the choice in Track.

self-release：手里有确认位置还想换

成绩出来之后，如果 firm 的条件已经满足、位置被确认，正常流程里不能再跑去 Clearing 挑别的学校。UCAS 留了一个例外叫 self-release：在 Track 里主动释放确认位置，然后以 Clearing 申请人的身份重新找。这个动作不可逆，释放之后原 offer 消失，新学校也不保证录你。适合的情况是成绩远高于预期、想冲更高一档的课程，或者读了几周发现方向不对。动手之前先打电话给目标学校确认有空位、拿到口头意向，再点 Track 里的按钮。每年都有人先释放再找，最后两边落空。

Once your place is confirmed you are expected to stay, yet UCAS allows one escape route: self-release, which gives up the confirmed place and puts you back into Clearing as a free applicant. It cannot be undone, and the university you are leaving is under no obligation to take you back. This suits students whose grades came in well above their offer and who want a stronger course, or students who have realised the course content is wrong for them. Ring the target university first and get a verbal indication before touching the button in Track; releasing first and searching later is how people end up with nothing.

回复 offer：firm 与 insurance 的连带后果

回复 offer 有截止日，通常在 6 月初，具体日期印在你自己的 Track 页面上，不是统一的一天。firm 是第一选择，insurance 是备选，两者不能是同一所学校的同一课程。拒掉 firm 只留 insurance，成绩达标时会被放到 insurance；两个都拒，这一轮就没有位置，7 月进 Clearing。很多学生以为拒掉 firm 能逼学校改条件，实际上不会发生，拒了就是拒了，学校不会补发一个更低的 offer。改主意要在截止日之前完成，过期不回复，UCAS 视为放弃。

Replies to offers are due in early June, and the exact date is printed on your own Track page rather than in a general guide. Firm is your first choice and insurance is the fallback, and the two cannot be the same course at the same university. Decline the firm and keep only the insurance, and a met offer sends you to the insurance; decline both and you are out of this round until Clearing opens. Some applicants try declining a firm offer to force a lower condition, which does not work in practice, since a declined offer is simply gone.

课程代码与入学要求：换之前先核对

换院校最容易忽略的是课程代码。同一个专业名在不同学校代码不同，同一所学校里 BA 和 BSc 也可能是两个条目，填错代码等于申请了另一个课程。核对时看三件事：模块列表里有没有你想读的内容，入学要求是 AAA 还是 AAB，有没有指定科目或入学考试。医学、牙医、兽医基本不接受这个阶段的临时申请，艺术类的作品集另有截止时间。读过预科或 foundation 的还要确认学分能不能抵扣，有些课程前两年全是必修，转进去等于从头读。学校官网的 course page 和 UCAS 的课程条目对不上时，以学校官网为准。

Course codes cause more wasted applications than anything else at this stage. The same subject carries a different code at every university, and a BA and a BSc in one department are two separate entries, so a mistyped code means applying to something you never read about. Check the module list, the typical offer, and any subject or admissions test requirement before switching. Medicine, dentistry and veterinary science rarely take applications made this late, and portfolio-based art courses have their own deadlines. Where the university page and the UCAS entry disagree, trust the university.

Track 操作细节：截止日、材料、联系方式

Track 里每个 offer 旁边都有回复截止日，日期按英国时间算，拖到最后一天容易撞上系统繁忙。加志愿或改志愿时，UCAS 会让你确认个人信息、资格成绩和英语成绩是最新的，考了新一次雅思记得更新。Clearing 阶段学校常要十位数的 Personal ID，写在申请确认邮件里。电话比邮件快，英国时间上午打进去接通率更高。口头承诺要落到邮件里，写清课程名、代码、入学年份和条件，后面有争议时这是唯一凭据。系统报错就截图加 Personal ID 发 UCAS 客服。

Every offer in Track carries a reply deadline set in UK time, and leaving it to the final hour invites a system timeout. When you add or change a choice, UCAS asks you to confirm that your qualifications and English test results are current, so update the record if you have sat another IELTS. Admissions teams usually ask for your ten-digit Personal ID, which sits in the confirmation email. Phone calls reach people faster than email, particularly in the UK morning. Put every verbal promise into an email afterwards, with course name, code, entry year and conditions, so there is a written trail if the offer is later disputed.

几个被传错的版本

网上流传的说法有几条站不住。中介说能内部操作改志愿，UCAS 系统里没有这条通道，能改的只有 14 天窗口和 Extra、Clearing 两个阶段。有人说先接受 offer 再反悔没影响，拒绝和释放都会留下记录，同一轮里再申同一所学校会被看到。还有人以为 Clearing 只收成绩差的学生，每年都有达到 A*AA 的人在 Clearing 里找到罗素集团的空位，原因只是原志愿报得太高。最常见的错误是把 Clearing 当捡漏，不读课程页就打电话，接通了也说不清自己想读什么。

Several claims circulating online do not survive contact with the system. Agencies advertising an internal route into a different choice have nothing to operate, because the only legitimate mechanisms are the 14-day request, Extra and Clearing. Accepting an offer and changing your mind later is not free either; declines and releases are recorded and visible to the university in the same cycle. Clearing is not a bargain bin for weak grades, since strong applicants land there every year after aiming too high. The most common mistake is calling universities without reading the course page, which shows in the first thirty seconds of the conversation.

换校之后的 CAS 与签证

换学校意味着重新拿一份 CAS，接收院校在你位置确认、材料核过之后才会发。用旧 CAS 递的签证不能沿用，9 月开学的课程尤其要算好时间。资金证明的规则和申请步骤写在 gov.uk 上，学校通常有合规团队先审材料再签发。释放之前问清楚对方的 CAS 处理要多久，一份迟到的 CAS 足够让你错过开学。

A change of university means a new Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies, and the CAS is issued by the receiving institution only after your place is confirmed and your documents are checked. Visa applications built on the old CAS cannot be reused, and the timing matters if term starts in September. The financial evidence rules and the application steps sit on gov.uk, and universities normally have a compliance team that checks the paperwork before issuing. Ask how long their CAS turnaround takes before you release anything, because a late CAS can cost you the start date.
