英国本科奖学金 中国学生 申请渠道 门槛
每年十月开始，家长的手机里会陆续出现转发截图：某某全额奖学金、某某每年五千英镑减免、某机构内部名额。点进去看，多数是研究生项目，或者根本找不到发放方的官网页面。中国学生申请英国本科，能碰到的奖学金大致分成政府、大学、院系三层，每一层的规则完全不同，混在一起看只会浪费时间。这篇把三层的资格、材料与时间点拆开讲，也把那些看起来像机会、实际对本科生无效的项目说清楚。读完至少能判断一张截图值不值得继续查。
It is easy for a family to mistake a headline for an opportunity. Many of the best known UK awards are aimed at master's students, and the ones that do cover undergraduate study are usually run by the university itself rather than by a government body. The sections below separate the three funding layers, explain what each one actually asks for, and mark the deadlines that collide with the UCAS calendar.
一、三层资金池各自出钱的人是谁
英国本科阶段的奖学金不是一个统一系统，而是三层各自独立的资金池。政府层由外交与联邦事务部、British Council 这类机构出资，项目名最响，覆盖面最窄。大学层由学校自己出钱，从几千英镑的学费减免到全额奖学金都有，是中国学生实际能拿到的主要部分。院系层更小，通常由某个学院或专业设一两项，金额在几百到几千英镑之间，只给本专业的学生。很多学生以为奖学金是同一张表申到底，实际情况是每所学校、每个专业各自评审，表格、材料清单与截止日都不一样。把三层分开看，才知道时间该花在哪一层。
Undergraduate funding in the UK comes from three separate pots rather than one central scheme; government awards carry the loudest names and the narrowest eligibility, university awards form the bulk of what Chinese students actually receive, and departmental prizes are small and tied to a single course. Each one runs its own form, its own materials and its own deadline, which is why a single application cannot cover them all. Knowing which layer a scheme sits in is the first filter worth applying.
二、Chevening 与 GREAT 都写着硕士
Chevening 由英国外交与联邦事务部出资，覆盖一年制硕士的学费、生活费与往返机票，条件是本科毕业后至少两年工作经验，学成后回国两年。高中毕业直接读本科的人，短期内在资格上就不成立。GREAT Scholarships 由 British Council 与参与院校合办，同样面向一年制硕士，British Council 官网写明每个奖项不少于一万英镑、用于抵扣学费，按国别发布名额。两条都出现在搜索结果第一页，也都与本科申请无关。常见的错误是看到 UK government scholarship 就默认它覆盖本科。
Chevening is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and covers a one-year master's, with two years of work experience required before applying and a two-year return commitment afterwards; GREAT Scholarships, run jointly by the British Council and participating universities, is also a master's scheme, with the British Council website stating a minimum of ten thousand pounds towards tuition for each award. Both sit at the top of most search results, and both are closed to school leavers. A common mistake is to read the words UK government scholarship and assume undergraduate study is included.
三、Commonwealth 项目的国籍边界
Commonwealth Scholarships 由英联邦奖学金委员会管理，申请人必须是英联邦国家公民或英国海外领地居民，中国不在名单内。这条边界经常被忽略，因为中文资料常把 Commonwealth 直接译成国际。同类的还有不少面向特定地区的发展类奖学金，非洲、南亚与加勒比的名额多，中国学生不在覆盖范围。判断方法很简单：在项目页面的 eligibility 一栏找自己的国籍或居住地，找不到就不要往下准备材料。花一周写文书、再被一句不符合资格退回，这类时间损失完全可以用五分钟避免。
Commonwealth Scholarships are administered for citizens of Commonwealth countries and British Overseas Territories; China is not on that list, so the scheme is not open to Chinese applicants. The confusion usually comes from translating Commonwealth as international. The quick test for any scheme is the eligibility section: if your nationality or country of residence is not named there, stop before assembling documents.
四、大学官网上找本科奖项的三个入口
想找大学自设的本科奖学金，官网有三个稳定入口。第一个是主站的 scholarships 或 fees and funding 页面，按学段分栏，本科与研究生分开列。第二个是 country page，很多学校为主要生源国单独做一页，写上针对该国学生的奖项与联系邮箱。第三个是具体课程的 course page，页面底部的 funding 一栏常挂着本院系的奖项。判断页面是否还有效，看两处：最后更新日期，以及是否写明面向哪一届入学。写着 2026 entry 的页面，到 2027 年入学季就只作参考。
Three places on a university website are worth checking: the main scholarships or fees and funding page, which separates undergraduate from postgraduate awards; a country page, where many institutions list awards and a contact address for students from China; and the funding section at the bottom of each course page, which often names a departmental prize. Two signals tell you whether a page is current, namely the last updated date and the entry year it mentions. A page written for 2026 entry is background reading only once the 2027 cycle opens.
五、录取即评审与需要单独递表的两类
大学的本科奖学金分两类。一类在录取时自动评审，通常按学术成绩给，比如 A-Level 达到某个等级就自动减免一部分学费，不需要额外表格。另一类要单独提交申请，配一篇短文书或一段个人陈述，竞争型与需求型多在这一次。自动类的好处是省事，代价是条件写在 offer 的附加条款里，很多学生签了接受信也没读过。常见的错误是把 offer 当成奖学金通知，到交学费时才发现减免只覆盖第一年。收到 offer 当天就把附加条款读一遍，成本最低。
Some awards are assessed automatically when your application is read, usually on academic merit, with a grade threshold written into the offer; others need a separate form and a short statement, and the competitive and means-tested schemes sit in that second group. The automatic route saves effort but hides its conditions in the offer's terms, which many students accept without reading. Treating an offer as a scholarship letter is how families discover in September that the discount covered only the first year.
六、竞争型奖学金评审在看什么
竞争型奖学金的评审由学院委员会做，不是招生办。他们看三样东西：学术记录，包括已考出的 IGCSE 或 A-Level 成绩与预估分；对专业的实际投入，比如读过哪些书、做过什么项目、参加过什么竞赛；推荐信里对课堂表现的描述，尤其是提问与讨论的部分。评审每年读几百份材料，一篇写满热情但没有任何具体动作的文书很难留下印象。把我想学什么换成我已经在做什么，通过率会不一样。文书里提一本真的读过的书，比列十个书名更有用。
Selection panels sit in the academic department rather than the admissions office, and they read three things: your record so far, including IGCSE and A-Level results and predicted grades; evidence of engagement with the subject, such as books read, projects finished or competitions entered; and what referees say about how you behave in class. A statement full of enthusiasm but empty of specifics rarely survives a few hundred competing files. Replacing what I want to study with what I have already done changes the odds.
七、需求型奖学金的家庭收入材料
需求型奖学金要证明家庭经济状况，材料通常是父母收入证明、税单、近半年银行流水，部分学校会委托第三方机构核查。金额按家庭可支配收入分档，档位之间差距不小。中国家庭的资产结构常与表格的假设对不上：房产占大头、收入来自公司分红、多位家庭成员共同承担开支。遇到这种情况，附一封说明信把结构讲清楚，比在表格里改数字安全。材料造假一旦查出，学校会撤销 offer 并通报 UCAS，代价远大于奖学金额度。
Means-tested awards require proof of household income, normally through payslips, tax documents and six months of bank statements, and some universities appoint an external agency to verify them. Bands are set by disposable income, and the gap between bands is wide. Chinese household finances often fit the form badly, with property holding most of the value and income arriving as company dividends; a short covering letter explaining the structure is safer than adjusting figures. Falsified documents lead to a withdrawn offer and a report to UCAS, which costs far more than the award is worth.
八、学费减免、现金补助与住宿奖的区别
奖学金的发放形式有三种，差别很大。学费减免直接抵扣账单，学生看不到现金。现金补助打进账户，可以付房租与生活费。住宿奖覆盖宿舍费，通常限定校内房源。看总额不如看可支配的部分：全额学费减免加零生活费，实际每年还要准备一万英镑上下的生活开支，具体按 gov.uk 的 Student visa 资金标准与所在城市房租算。伦敦与非伦敦的差距，往往比两所学校的奖学金差距更大。选校时把这两笔账放在一张纸上算，结论通常和排名无关。
Awards arrive as a tuition waiver, a cash bursary or an accommodation credit, and the three are not interchangeable. A waiver never reaches your bank account, a bursary can pay rent, and an accommodation credit usually works only in university housing. Look at what is disposable rather than the headline figure: full tuition plus nothing else still leaves living costs of roughly ten thousand pounds a year, set against the maintenance figures on the gov.uk Student visa page and rents in that city. The London and non-London gap often matters more than the gap between two universities' awards.
九、UCAS 节点与奖学金截止怎么排
UCAS 的节点与奖学金的截止日不在同一条线上。牛津、剑桥与多数医学类在前一年十月中旬截止，其余课程在一月中旬。奖学金申请常落在十二月到三月，部分学校要求在接受 offer 后四周内提交。做法是把每所目标校的截止日单独列一行，标出是否需要额外推荐信，因为老师写第二封信通常要提前两周打招呼。评审结果常晚于 offer 回复期限，所以不能等奖学金结果再决定接不接受。押金与回复期限的排序，比奖学金多几千英镑更能影响最终成本。
The UCAS calendar and scholarship deadlines run on different clocks. Oxford, Cambridge and most medical courses close in mid-October of the previous year, everything else in mid-January, while scholarship rounds tend to fall between December and March, and a few universities want the form within four weeks of an offer. List each target school's date on its own line and note whether a second reference is needed, since teachers usually want two weeks' notice. Results often arrive after the offer reply date, so the decision cannot wait for them.
十、award letter 里的续年条件
奖学金不是一次授予就固定四年。offer 与 award letter 里会写续年条件：每年均分达到多少、有没有挂科、是否保持全日制注册。交换一年、休学、转专业都可能触发复核，部分学校在转专业后直接取消原奖项。收到 award letter 后核对四项：金额、覆盖年限、学费上调时是否同步调整、失效条件。把这几条抄进日历，比存一份 PDF 有用。第二年均分掉到线下的学生，通常不是能力问题，而是没人提醒过这条线存在。
An award is rarely fixed for the whole degree. The offer and the award letter set continuation conditions, such as an annual average, no failed modules and full-time registration, and a year abroad, an interruption or a change of course can trigger a review. After the letter arrives, check four items: the amount, the number of years covered, whether it rises with tuition, and the conditions that end it. Copying those lines into a calendar is more useful than saving the PDF.
十一、资金证明与 Student visa 的衔接
Student visa 的资金要求是学费加最多九个月的生活费，奖学金信可以作为资金来源之一，前提是信上写清姓名、金额与覆盖的项目。CAS 上已经支付的押金会从需要证明的金额里扣掉。存款要满足连续存放二十八天的规则，证明开具日期在递交申请前三十一天以内，这两条写在 gov.uk 的 Student visa 页面，每年都有人在这上面被拒。奖学金尚未到账不影响签证，只要 award letter 是无条件且写明金额。资金来源混在一起时，附一份清单把每笔钱对上一个文件，签证官看得懂，自己也查得清。
Student visa rules require evidence of tuition plus living costs for up to nine months, and a scholarship letter counts as one source provided it names you, the amount and what it covers. Deposits already paid, as shown on the CAS, are deducted from the sum you must prove. The money has to sit in an account for 28 consecutive days, with the document dated within 31 days of the application, both stated on the gov.uk Student visa page. An award that has not yet been paid out is fine, as long as the letter is unconditional and states the amount.
十二、保录加保奖学金的中介说法
声称保录加保奖学金的机构，逻辑上就不成立，因为奖学金由大学委员会评审，任何外部机构都无法承诺结果。付费能买到的部分是材料润色、时间管理与信息整理，这三样自己做也做得出来。核查一个奖学金信息是否可信，看三点：页面域名是否是学校自有域名、是否写明面向哪一届入学、联系人邮箱是否以 ac.uk 结尾。三条里缺两条，基本可以放到一边。说实话，把官网页面读一遍，比在群里问十个人更快。
A promise of guaranteed admission plus a guaranteed scholarship cannot be true, because panels inside the university decide, and no outside agency can bind them. What money buys is editing, scheduling and information gathering, all of which a family can do itself. Three checks settle whether an offer of funding is real: whether the domain belongs to the university, whether an entry year is stated, and whether the contact address ends in ac.uk. If two of the three are missing, move on; reading the official page once beats asking ten people in a group chat.
