For almost every IELTS candidate, the most anxious twenty minutes of the whole test journey happen in front of a screen, not in an exam room. Your official score is not published in an email, it is not read out over the phone, and it is not posted on any third-party website. It appears inside one place only: your personal homepage on the registration website where you booked the test. Understanding exactly how that page works - when it updates, what each button does, what the numbers mean, and what to do when something goes wrong - turns a stressful guessing game into a routine administrative task.

1. The Official Home of Your IELTS Score | 雅思成绩的官方归属地
Your IELTS result is a private record attached to your candidate profile, not a public listing. That is why the test providers deliberately route all score access through the account you created when you registered. In mainland China, the registration platform is operated by the National Education Examinations Authority (NEEA) and serves both British Council and IDP test centres; outside mainland China, you normally log in to the IELTS Test Taker Portal provided by your test centre or national provider.

Three practical consequences follow from this design, and every candidate should internalise them before test day:

The registration website is the single source of truth. Whatever a chat group, an agency, or a "score checking service" claims, the only authoritative display of your band scores is the one behind your own login.

The account is the same one you used for booking. There is no separate "results account" to create, and no new password to remember.

The online display is a preview of an official document. The legally meaningful artefact is the Test Report Form (TRF), the printed or electronic score report issued by the test provider.

2. When Your Score Appears | 出分时间：什么时候能查到
Timing is the single biggest source of confusion, because paper-based and computer-delivered IELTS follow completely different clocks. Knowing which format you sat, and counting from the correct starting point, removes most of the anxiety.
时间是最容易让人困惑的一点，因为纸笔考试和机考的公布节奏完全不同。先确认自己考的是哪种形式，再从正确的起点开始计算，焦虑就会减少一大半。
Paper-based IELTS: results are released 13 days after the test date. In mainland China the page usually updates from around midday Beijing time on that day.

Computer-delivered IELTS: results typically appear 3 to 5 days after the test, and many test centres release them even sooner.

Online visibility is temporary. The score display normally stays accessible for a limited window (commonly around 28 days from the release date), after which the TRF becomes the only record you can present. Download and archive it while you can.

Delays happen. If a result requires additional quality assurance, or if a test centre is investigating an irregularity, the release can be postponed. A delayed score is not the same as a cancelled score.

3. Logging In to Your Personal Homepage | 登录个人主页的完整步骤
The login process is short, but doing it deliberately prevents the two most common mistakes: landing on a fake mirror site, and locking yourself out with repeated wrong passwords.
登录流程本身很短，但按部就班地操作可以避免两个最常见的错误：进到假冒镜像网站，以及反复输错密码导致账号被锁。
Step 1 - Open the official site by typing the address manually into the browser, or by using a bookmark you saved yourself. Do not click links pasted in group chats or forwarded messages.

Step 2 - Choose the candidate login entry. On the mainland China platform this is the IELTS candidate login (考生登录) area on the homepage.

Step 3 - Enter your NEEA user ID (NEEA 用户号) or your registered email address or mobile number, plus your password.
第三步：输入你的 NEEA 用户号，或注册时使用的邮箱／手机号，再加上密码。
Step 4 - Complete the security verification, such as a graphic or SMS code, if the page requests it.
第四步：如果页面要求，完成安全验证，例如图形验证码或短信验证码。
Step 5 - You land on your personal homepage (个人主页), which is the dashboard for every service: registered tests, results, score report delivery, and post-test services.

If you have forgotten your password, use the "forgot password" link on the login page and reset it through the registered email address or mobile number. If you have forgotten your NEEA user ID as well, contact the official service channel listed on the site - never give your ID number or password to a third party who offers to "recover" it for you.

4. Finding the Result Inside the Homepage | 在个人主页内定位成绩
Once you are logged in, the score is only two clicks away, but the labels differ slightly between the mainland platform and overseas portals. Learning the path once means you will never hunt for it again.

Alternatively, the post-test services area (考后服务) usually contains an equivalent results entry, together with links for score report delivery and enquiries on results. Both routes lead to the same data.

5. Reading the Numbers Correctly | 正确读懂成绩数字
What appears on screen is a small table with five numbers. Understanding how the overall band is calculated prevents a great deal of unnecessary panic, especially when one skill sits below the rest.
屏幕上显示的是一个含五个数字的小表格。理解总分是怎么算出来的，可以省掉大量不必要的恐慌，尤其是当某一项明显低于其他项时。
Each of the four skills - Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking - is reported on a 0 to 9 scale, in half-band increments such as 6.0 or 6.5.

The overall band is the average of the four skill scores, then rounded to the nearest half band. An average ending in .25 rounds up to .5; an average ending in .75 rounds up to the next whole band.

.5 + 6.5 + 5.5 + 6.0 = 24.5, and 24.5 ÷ 4 = 6.125, which rounds to an overall band of 6.0.

.5 = 26.0, and 26.0 ÷ 4 = 6.5, so the overall band is exactly 6.5 with no rounding needed.
再举一例：7.0 + 6.5 + 6.0 + 6.5 = 26.0，26.0 ÷ 4 = 6.5，总分正好是 6.5，无需取整。
The same page may also show a CEFR level, which maps your band onto the Common European Framework of Reference. A widely used mapping is B1 for bands 4.0 to 5.0, B2 for 5.5 to 6.5, C1 for 7.0 to 8.0, and C2 for 8.5 to 9.0.
同一页面有时还会显示 CEFR 等级，把你的分数对应到《欧洲语言共同参考框架》。常见的对应关系为：4.0 至 5.0 对应 B1，5.5 至 6.5 对应 B2，7.0 至 8.0 对应 C1，8.5 至 9.0 对应 C2。
6. Download, Print and Archive | 下载、打印与存档
Because the online display is temporary, treating the moment of release as an archiving task rather than just a glance is genuinely important. Universities, employers and immigration authorities will ask for a document, not a memory.
由于线上显示是有期限的，把出分那一刻当作一次"归档动作"而不只是"看一眼"，真的非常重要。大学、雇主和移民机构要的是一份文件，而不是你的记忆。
Download the PDF version of the result if the page offers one, and save it to at least two locations, for example your laptop and a cloud drive.
如果页面提供 PDF 版成绩，下载并至少保存到两个位置，例如电脑本地和云盘。
Print a paper copy if you are applying somewhere that requires a physical file. Print directly from the official page rather than re-typing the numbers.
如果申请机构要求纸质材料，打印一份。直接从官方页面打印，不要手工重新录入数字。
Record your TRF number and candidate number in a notes file. Application forms often ask for the TRF number rather than a scan.

RF_2026-03-14_Overall7.0.pdf, so you can find them months later during application season.
给文件起清晰的名字，例如 IELTS_TRF_2026-03-14_Overall7.0.pdf，这样几个月后申请季再找也不会翻箱倒柜。

7. Score Report Delivery and Extra Copies | 成绩单寄送与加送
The personal homepage is also the control panel for where your official score report goes. Getting the delivery settings right at the first attempt saves both money and weeks of waiting.
个人主页同时也是决定官方成绩单去向的控制面板。第一次就把寄送设置弄对，既省钱又省下几周等待。
One copy is sent to you as standard, normally by courier such as EMS in mainland China, using the postal address stored in your profile.

Institutions can receive copies directly. Most candidates may nominate several recipients free of charge when booking or before results are released, and pay a fee per additional copy afterwards.

Fees change over time and vary by region, so always check the current figure on the official platform rather than relying on what a friend paid last year.

Computer-delivered tests increasingly issue an electronic Test Report Form (eTRF), which can be verified online by the receiving institution. This is often faster than physical mail.
机考越来越多地签发电子成绩单（eTRF），接收机构可以在线核验其真伪。这通常比纸质邮寄快得多。
Track delivery from the post-test services section of the homepage, which normally displays the courier tracking number once the report has been dispatched.

If your address changes after the test, update it in your profile before the results release deadline, otherwise the free copy may go to an old address.

8. Enquiry on Results and One Skill Retake | 成绩复议与单项重考
Sometimes the score on the homepage is not the score you expected. The registration website is where you dispute it, and the deadlines here are strict and non-negotiable.
有时主页上的成绩与你的预期不符。报名网站正是你提出异议的地方，而这里的截止日期非常严格，没有商量余地。
Enquiry on Results (EOR) must normally be submitted within 4 weeks (28 days) of the test date, so check the exact deadline on your own session page immediately after release.
