雅思机考把听力、阅读和写作搬到电脑上完成，口试仍然是与持证考官面对面或者视频通话。很多学生以为换了电脑，题目难度和判分方式都会跟着变，但雅思中文官网写得很清楚：机考与纸笔在内容、题型、难度和评分标准上保持一致，变的只是你敲键盘还是拿铅笔。真正会拉开差距的，是屏幕上那几件不起眼的小工具，比如 Settings 里的字体与配色、写作区下方的字数统计、屏幕上方会闪动的剩余时间。这篇文章把这些功能逐项拆开，把操作位置和容易踩的坑一起讲清。
On the computer-delivered IELTS, Listening, Reading and Writing are all completed on screen, while Speaking remains a live conversation with a certified examiner. Candidates often assume that moving to a keyboard changes what is being tested, yet the official guidance states that the content, question types and marking criteria are unchanged from the paper version. What does change is the interface, and the font settings, the live word count and the on-screen timer are the three features worth rehearsing before test day.
机考界面的三块区域：上方计时、中部题目、下方导航
雅思机考的屏幕大致分成三块，上方一行显示剩余时间、音量与设置入口，中部是文章和题目区，下方是题号导航与功能按钮。登录成功后系统会先显示个人信息，确认无误再点 "My details are correct"，有任何问题当场举手。监考人员宣读完注意事项，会指示考生点击 Settings 键，按个人习惯调节屏幕颜色及字体大小，调完点 OK 返回界面。听力、阅读、写作三个部分都在这一套界面里完成，开考时间原则上不早于计划开考时间前 30 分钟。很多学生以为界面越熟越好，其实能在三分钟内找到设置键和题号导航，剩下的时间就该留给题目本身。
The test screen is split into three bands. The top strip carries the countdown clock together with the volume and settings controls, the middle band holds the passage and its questions, and the bottom band gives you the question-number navigation that lets you jump backwards and forwards. Ten minutes spent learning where those controls sit during a practice run is time you will get back in Reading, when nobody wants to be hunting for a button while the clock is running.
考前 Settings 键：字体大小与屏幕配色
Settings 在屏幕的右上角，点开之后可以调节字体大小与屏幕配色，选定之后必须点 OK 才会生效。官方考试当日流程页写明，监考人员指示点击 Settings 键并根据个人习惯调节屏幕颜色及字体大小，调节完毕后等候指示点击 OK 键。平时看书习惯大字号的考生可以调大一档，长文阅读时眼睛没那么累；配色一般提供浅底深字与深底浅字两类，按自己舒服的那一种选。常见的错误是调完字体直接关掉面板，页面按默认设置返回，进了阅读才发现字还是小的。官方免费的机考模拟用同一套界面，考前把设置项点一遍最省心。
The Settings button sits in the top right corner of the screen, and any change made there has to be confirmed before it takes effect. Candidates who enlarge the text usually find long passages easier to scan, while the colour options simply swap dark text on a light background for the opposite arrangement. The usual mistake is to close the panel without confirming it, so the section opens with the original small font and the whole adjustment has to be repeated.
屏幕上方的时间提醒：结束前 10 分钟与 5 分钟闪动
剩余时间一直显示在屏幕上方，阅读和写作考试结束前 10 分钟及 5 分钟，时间提醒处会自动闪动。闪动只是提醒，系统不会提前收卷，时间走完才自动提交。IDP 官网的机考说明把计时器写在上方中部，并写明最后 10 分钟与 5 分钟开始闪烁，时间用完时钟停止。旧版纸笔考试由监考人员在开始后 20 分钟、40 分钟以及结束前 10 分钟、5 分钟口头报时四次，机考把这件事交给了屏幕，考生得自己养成抬头看时间的习惯。很多学生以为闪动就意味着马上交卷，一看到闪烁就慌乱地把作文草草收尾，而阅读和写作各有 60 分钟，闪动之后剩下的时间仍然归你支配。
The clock is always visible at the top of the screen, and it starts to flash ten minutes and then five minutes before Reading and Writing come to an end. Flashing is a warning rather than an instruction, because the section only closes when the time actually runs out. Under the old paper test a supervisor called out the time at four fixed points, so candidates who are used to being told when to speed up need to build the habit of glancing upwards themselves.
听力只有 2 分钟检查答案，机考没有誊写时间
机考的听力部分是 30 分钟，录音结束后另有 2 分钟检查答案。同一份官方流程页在纸笔部分写的是 30 分钟加 10 分钟誊写答案的时间，两者差出来的 8 分钟，正是因为机考不需要把答案从试卷抄到答题卡。答案直接敲进屏幕，边听边填才是正常节奏。常见的错误是沿用纸笔的习惯，一边听一边在纸上记，等录音全部结束再往屏幕里录，2 分钟根本不够用。字体设置、音量调节这些动作也要在听力开始前做完，录音一旦开始，界面不会停下等你。
Listening runs for 30 minutes and is followed by two minutes for checking answers. That short gap replaces the ten minutes of transfer time allowed on paper, because on a computer the answers are typed straight onto the screen as you go. Filling them in while you listen is therefore the only realistic approach, and any adjustment to font size or volume has to be finished before the recording begins.
写作两篇作文的建议时长与作答顺序
写作部分屏幕左侧是题目与图表，右侧是作答区，两篇作文的作答顺序可以自己选，点下方的 Task 1 或 Task 2 按钮就能切换。切换不会丢掉已经写好的内容，系统会实时自动保存。官方建议在小作文上花大约 20 分钟，在大作文上花大约 40 分钟，因为大作文的分数权重是小作文的两倍。很多学生以为必须先写完小作文才能动大作文，于是把最难的一篇留在最后二十分钟里赶，分数自然吃亏。拿到题目先想清楚结构，再按自己的节奏分配这两段时间，比按顺序硬写更稳。
In Writing, the task and any chart appear on the left while the answer area sits on the right, and the two tasks can be written in whichever order you prefer. Nothing is lost when you switch, because the system saves continuously as you type. Official advice is to spend around 20 minutes on the first task and around 40 on the second, which reflects the fact that the longer essay carries twice the weight in the final Writing score.
实时字数统计：Task 1 的 150 词与 Task 2 的 250 词
写作作答区的下方会实时显示已经输入的字数，系统自动保存并统计写作字数，不需要自己数字。官方评分标准要求小作文至少 150 词、大作文至少 250 词，写不到这个长度会按任务完成度扣分。字数超过下限本身不加分，考官看的是观点有没有展开、句子之间是否连贯。常见的错误是把时间花在反复删改同一句上，字数统计一路停在 120 词，而系统不会提醒你进度。写作时先按结构把每一段写完，最后留三五分钟检查拼写与字数，比中途反复推敲划算。
A live word count runs underneath the answer area, so you never have to estimate how much you have written. The first task requires at least 150 words and the second at least 250, and falling below those figures is treated as an incomplete response rather than a small deduction. Exceeding the minimum earns nothing by itself, since examiners are judging how fully the task is answered rather than raw volume.
阅读左右分屏：原文在左，题目在右
阅读部分是三篇文章配 40 道题，共 60 分钟，界面把原文放在左边、题目放在右边，两边各自可以单独滚动。官方机考页面把分屏写成一项优势：对照作答不必来回翻页找位置。分屏也意味着你随时能看到原文的哪一句被自己标过，定位比纸笔更快。常见的错误是只盯着右半侧做题，完全不用左边的滚动条，遇到段落大意题又回去从头找。阅读的时间压力最大，先扫一眼题型顺序，再决定哪几道题值得花时间回原文核对，通常比从头按顺序做更快。
In Reading the passage stays on the left and the questions stay on the right, and each side scrolls independently. Keeping both in view means a question can be compared directly with the sentence it refers to instead of flicking back and forth between pages. The trap is to work only in the right-hand panel, then lose time scrolling the passage from the beginning whenever a heading or summary question appears.
Highlight 高亮：选中文字后单击鼠标右键
Highlight 用来把关键词标成另一种颜色，操作是选中需要的文字，单击鼠标右键，在出现的选项里点 Highlight。听力和阅读都能用，题型说明里提到的专有名词、数字、转折词都适合先标出来。官方流程页写明系统同时提供 Clear 与 Clear all 两个选项，用来清除标注。标记本身不计分，也不影响答案对错，它的作用是让你回头复查时一眼看到重点。很多学生以为高亮越多越安全，整页标满之后反而看不出哪一句最值得记，一篇文章标五六处通常就够了。
Highlighting is done by selecting a piece of text and clicking the right-hand mouse button, which opens a short menu of options. It works in both Listening and Reading, and it is most useful for proper nouns, figures and the words that signal a change of direction. Candidates who highlight everything end up with a screen full of colour and no clearer idea of which line mattered, so five or six marks per passage is usually enough.
Notes 便签与 Clear all：标记怎么清掉
Notes 是虚拟便签，右键菜单里选择之后可以写下自己的备注，适合记段落大意或者不确定的题号。便签和答题是两套内容，写多少都不会被算进答案，也不会因为写错而扣分。清除标注时可以用 Clear 清掉当前这一处，也可以用 Clear all 一次清空所有高亮与备注。常见的错误是把便签当成草稿纸，把整段答题思路抄进去，最后几分钟想清掉又怕误删。把整段思路塞进便签，不如只记几个关键词，复查时更好用。
Notes work in the same way as highlighting, except that they let you type a short comment beside the text. Marks and notes are separate from your answers and cannot cost you marks, and the Clear and Clear all options remove either the current one or everything at once. Turning the notepad into a rough draft is wasteful, because a handful of reminder words is what you will actually read in the final minutes.
Review 复查标记：题号从方块变成圆圈
屏幕下方的导航栏列出所有题号，点击左右箭头可以前后翻题，也可以直接点题号跳到任意一题。IDP 官网的机考说明写得很具体：点击左下角的 Review 按钮之后，题号会从方块变成圆圈，用来标记那些打算回头再看的题。听力只有一次播放机会，标完要在 2 分钟检查时间里回去改；阅读则可以按标记逐题核对。很多学生以为跳过一道题就等于放弃它，其实标记之后跳走才是正确做法，先把能拿的分收完，再回头处理标记题。复查时优先看拼写、单复数和大小写，这三类错误最容易被自己忽略。
The navigation bar along the bottom lists every question number, and the Review button turns a number from a square into a circle so that it stands out for a second look. In Listening the recording is played once only, so flagged items have to be revisited during the two-minute check, whereas in Reading you can work through them at your own pace. Skipping a difficult question and returning to it later is normal practice rather than a concession.
耳机音量与 Help 按钮：题型说明随时可查
耳机音量用屏幕右上方的音量调节栏控制，考前会有一个试音界面，点 Play Sound 测试耳机效果，听到清晰的录音后点 Continue 并摘下耳机，等待监考指示。遇到不熟悉的题型，可以点屏幕上的 Help 查看当前题型的作答说明，官方流程写明整个机考过程中随时可以查看 Help 里的信息。很多人担心查说明会被算作违规，官方页面并没有这样写。音量这类设置要在听力开始前确认好，录音播放中途再调整，丢掉的那几秒是补不回来的。把 Help 当成界面自带的题型字典，比考前死记硬背更实在。
Headphone volume is controlled from the bar in the top right of the screen. Before the recording starts you are shown a sound check screen where you press Play Sound, and once the audio is clear you confirm it and take the headphones off until the test begins. The Help tab explains how the current question type works, and the official test-day guidance states that it can be opened at any point during the computer test.
Hide 与 Resume：去洗手间时页面怎么处理
非听力部分的阅读与写作，在监考人员宣读完注意事项后到该部分结束前 10 分钟之间，可以去洗手间，前提是举手示意并得到监考人员同意。机考考生离开座位前，需要点击页面左上角的 Hide 键，回来后点页面中间的 Resume 键继续作答，进场前还要重新完成身份核验与安全检查。Hide 只是把题目暂时隐藏，已经输入的内容都在，不会因为离开几分钟而丢失。常见错误是直接起身走人，页面保持显示状态，回来时还要重新处理被暂停的流程，白等几分钟。入场前把水喝够，比考试中途跑一趟更省时间。
In Reading and Writing you may leave the room for a short break, provided you raise your hand and wait for permission, and only during the period that ends ten minutes before the section finishes. Press the Hide button in the top left before leaving and Resume in the middle of the screen when you return, then repeat the identity and security check at the door. Everything you typed is still there, but walking out without hiding the screen makes the restart take longer than the break itself.
用官方免费机考模拟把界面点熟

The British Council also offers a Writing practice product called WriteUp and a preparation platform, IELTS Ready: Premium, normally priced at 50 US dollars a month, which is included when you book with them and stays open until your test date. Results arrive within roughly one to two days according to the British Council, while the One Skill Retake option is limited to computer test takers and must be completed within 60 days of the original test.
