在 2027 入学周期里，中国内地、香港与澳门的 TARA 考生只有一天考试日，就是 2026 年 10 月 14 日星期三。这条安排写在 UAT-UK 官网的考期表里，同一张表把 ESAT 压到 10 月 12 日与 13 日、把 TMUA 压到 10 月 15 日与 16 日。很多学生以为单日专场只是换了个日期，实际改变的是备考节奏与到场安排。官网在同一页写明，原因是 2024 年 10 月有考生试图未经授权获取并出售试题内容。此后这三个地区只保留固定单日，官方不做任何例外。这篇文章把当天要考的三场模块、考务门槛与考前要核对的几件事一次讲清。
For candidates in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, TARA has only one possible sitting date in the 2027 entry cycle: Wednesday 14 October 2026. The same UAT-UK timetable compresses ESAT into 12 and 13 October and TMUA into 15 and 16 October. UAT-UK states on the same page that candidates tried to obtain and sell test content without authorisation in October 2024, so these regions keep a fixed single day and the organisation says it cannot make exceptions. UAT-UK 由剑桥与帝国理工在 2023 年合办

UAT-UK was founded on 1 December 2023 as a non-profit joint venture between the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, and it runs three admissions tests: ESAT, TMUA and TARA. TARA was first sat in October 2025, and delivery is handled by Pearson VUE, which operates test centres in more than 180 countries and territories. In the 2027 entry cycle only Oxford and UCL use TARA, and the official guidance warns that failing to register for a required test may invalidate an application.
中国内地香港澳门考区为什么只有一天
官方把这三个地区的考试日压到最少，直接原因是 2024 年 10 月的试题外流事件。UAT-UK 官网写明，当时有考生试图未经授权获取并出售试题内容，因此 ESAT 与 TMUA 在中国内地、香港与澳门只开两天与一天，TARA 每个考季只开一天。很多人以为可以申请例外，官网的原话是官方无法做出任何例外。TARA 的固定日是 2026 年 10 月 14 日星期三，一月场是 2027 年 1 月 7 日星期四。这一天全国只有少数考点开放，越晚预约越难找到就近位置。官网同时提醒，预约得越早，越可能订到时间合适的本地考点。
The single-day rule exists because of an incident in October 2024, when candidates tried to obtain and sell test content without authorisation. UAT-UK now offers ESAT and TMUA on two days and one day respectively in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, while TARA runs on one day per test window. The official page states plainly that no exception can be made, so the TARA dates are fixed at Wednesday 14 October 2026 and Thursday 7 January 2027, and booking early gives the best chance of a convenient local centre.
三个模块在报名时就已固定

TARA consists of three modules: Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and a Writing Task, each lasting 40 minutes, for a total of 120 minutes. Unlike ESAT and TMUA, all three modules are compulsory and are fixed when you register, so there is no combination to choose. The modules run in sequence with each one separately timed, time saved in one module is not carried forward, and there is no way back to an earlier module.

Critical Thinking is a 22-question multiple choice module with five options per question and one correct answer. The official guide breaks every argument into reasons, conclusions and assumptions, and lists seven question types, from identifying the main conclusion to detecting reasoning errors and matching arguments. The language used is everyday written English, no formal logic notation is needed, and candidates should attempt all 22 questions because nothing is deducted for a wrong answer.

问题解决模块同样是 22 道单选，每题五个选项，时间 40 分钟。官方把题目分成三类，分别是挑选相关信息、自己设计解法步骤与识别相似关系。前一类会给出多余信息，考生只需要挑出真正用得到的数据。第二类不提供现成套路，要自己把已知条件串成一条计算路径。第三类要求读懂同一批数据的两种表示，也可能考简单图形的翻转与旋转。数学范围写在指南附录一里，只到基础层级，复杂分数与小数不在要求内。把 2400 秒平均分给 22 道题，每题约 109 秒。
Problem Solving is another 22-question multiple choice module with five options per question, lasting 40 minutes. The official guide divides it into three question types: relevant selection, finding procedures and identifying similarity, and the mathematics involved stays at the basic level set out in Appendix 1 of the specification. Questions may include redundant data, may require a calculation route to be built from scratch, and only four unit conversions have to be remembered.
写作任务三选一 750 词且官方不打分
写作任务给出三道题，考生选一道写 750 词，时间 40 分钟。官方明确说明写作任务不打分，答卷副本会随成绩一起送给所申请的院校。题目通常给一段素材或一个情境，选材时要看哪一道能把具体例子写实。很多学生以为写得越长越安全，官方给的是 750 词这个目标，超出太多只会挤掉检查时间。写作部分同样不能用电子拼写检查，也不能用词典。把大纲先写在草稿册上，再按段落推进，比边写边改稳当。
The Writing Task offers three prompts, and candidates choose one and write 750 words in 40 minutes. UAT-UK does not mark the writing task, and a copy of the answer is sent to the universities applied to alongside the scores. Since no electronic spell check and no dictionary are available, planning the argument on the erasable booklet before writing is the practical way to use the 40 minutes well.
单日专场意味着没有第二次机会
一个申请周期里只能注册一次 TARA，一月场不是重考。牛津与剑桥的申请人通常必须在十月场应考，例外只有剑桥一月招生截止的成熟学院与牛津的 Astrophoria 预科年。在这一个申请周期里，中国内地、香港与澳门的 TARA 十月场就是 10 月 14 日那一天。错过这一天，想再考就只能等到下一个申请周期，而且往年成绩不会自动沿用。官网写明重新申请要在提交申请的当年参加考试。前一天或后一天都没有场次，这不是考位问题，而是固定安排。
You may only register once for a test in a given admissions cycle, and the January sitting is not a retake. Applicants to Oxford and Cambridge must normally sit the October window, with exceptions only for mature applicants to a Cambridge mature college with a January deadline and for the Oxford Astrophoria Foundation Year. In China, Hong Kong and Macau the October TARA date is simply 14 October, and neither the day before nor the day after has a sitting at all.
考试当天要带的证件与到场时间
考试当天要提前 30 分钟到场，迟到超过 15 分钟通常不予入场，考试费也不退。证件必须是原件，要在有效期内，有照片也有签名。账号里的姓名与证件上的姓名必须完全一致，不一致会被考点拒绝入场。护照是最通用的证件，驾照一般只限签发国使用。官网写明证件不合格的责任在考生本人，进场前核对一遍能省掉很多麻烦。个人物品要放进储物柜，考场只留证件与储物柜钥匙。
Candidates should arrive 30 minutes before the appointment, and arriving more than 15 minutes late usually means no entry and no refund. The photo ID must be an original, in date, with a photograph and a signature, and the name on the test account has to match it exactly. A passport is the most widely accepted document, and because responsibility for producing valid ID rests with the candidate, checking it the night before is worthwhile.
禁用计算器与词典 草稿册由考场发放
三项笔试都采用机考，所有部分都不得使用计算器与词典。写作任务里同样不能用电子拼写检查，这一点容易被忽略。考场会发放可擦写的草稿册与笔，草稿册可以用来拆论证结构或列计算步骤。水与食物未经批准不得带入考场，非数字式耳塞一般免予审批。需要单独监考或额外时间的考生，要在报名之前完成特殊安排申请。考试过程中遇到设备问题，要当场告知监考并记下事件编号。
All three tests are taken on computer, and no calculator or dictionary may be used in any part of them. The Writing Task is no exception, so electronic spell check is unavailable, while the test centre provides an erasable booklet and pen for working through arguments or calculations. Any incident during the test should be reported to the invigilator straight away so that a case number is recorded.
开考前 48 小时还能改期或取消
这道时间线是开考前 48 小时。在 48 小时以外，考生可以改期而且不用付费，位置受考点余位限制。取消预约可以拿到全额退款，改期只是换考位，不涉及退款。报名截止之后再取消，就没有办法重新预约任何考位。中国考区的 TARA 只有 10 月 14 日一天，改期几乎无处可去。缺考等于自己承担考试费，官方也不会把助学金资格顺延给缺考的考生。
Rescheduling is free of charge if it is done more than 48 hours before the appointment, but it depends on seats being available elsewhere. Cancelling gives a full refund, while rescheduling simply moves the booking to another time. Once the booking deadline has passed, a cancellation leaves no way to book again, and in China the TARA has only the single day of 14 October, so there is almost nothing to move to.

UAT-UK does not endorse any commercial preparation provider and prohibits sharing test content during or after a sitting.
分数怎么算 出分与送达
批判性思维与问题解决各有一个分数，刻度是 1 到 9 分，保留一位小数。答错不扣分，也没有及格线，分数是按当年考生分布定出来的。官方给出的两个固定参照点是中位数 4.5 与第 90 百分位 7.0。十月场的出分日是 2026 年 11 月 16 日，成绩通过 UAT-UK 账号查看。成绩会按所申请的课程逐一自动送达院校，考生不能选择收件方，也不能撤回。对分数不接受申诉，官方也不公布试题与答案。
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving are reported separately on a scale from 1 to 9 with one decimal place, there is no pass mark, and nothing is deducted for a wrong answer. The official reference points are a fixed median of 4.5 and a fixed 90th percentile of 7.0, while October results are published on 16 November 2026 through the UAT-UK account. Scores are sent automatically to the universities applied to, candidates cannot choose or withdraw the recipients, and there is no appeals process for the score itself.
走进考场之前的四项核对
核对账号姓名与证件姓名是否完全一致，需要改名字就在考前完成。核对考点地址与到场时间，单日专场的考点可能不在常住城市。核对所申请专业要求的模块与报名记录是否对应，TARA 三个模块全部必考，这一点与 ESAT 不同。核对一月场的报名窗口，官网写的是 2026 年 10 月 26 日开放，2026 年 12 月 21 日 18:00 截止。需要特殊安排或助学金的考生还要记住 12 月 7 日与 12 月 14 日这两个截止日。把这几项写在纸上，考试当天按顺序过一遍。
Before 14 October it is worth confirming that the name on the account matches the photo ID exactly and that the test centre address and reporting time are correct, since a single-day sitting may not be in your home city. Check as well that the modules recorded match what the chosen courses require, remembering that all three TARA modules are compulsory. If a January sitting matters, booking opens on 26 October 2026 and closes on 21 December 2026, with access arrangement and bursary deadlines falling on 7 and 14 December.
