申请季里最容易被忽略的一类麻烦，是两门意向专业对 ESAT 模块的要求对不上。UAT-UK 官网在 Course Requirements 一节里专门回答了这个问题：如果两门专业要求的必修模块互相冲突，考生可能需要考四个模块而不是三个。结论其实很短：模块在报名那一刻就定死，事后既不能加也不能换，所以冲突必须在付款之前解决。下面按模块要求的三类形态、两种冲突情形、以及联系 UAT-UK 的先后顺序，把处理流程拆开讲。
Two courses that both need the ESAT can still ask for different compulsory modules, and the fix has to happen before you book. UAT-UK states on its official FAQ that conflicting compulsory modules may mean sitting four modules instead of three, and that module selection cannot be added or changed after booking. Many students only discover the clash in October, when cancelling and re-booking may already have cost them a place at their preferred centre.
ESAT 的五个模块与 Maths 1 的必修位置
ESAT 一共五个模块：Mathematics 1、Biology、Chemistry、Physics 与 Mathematics 2。所有考生都要考 Maths 1，多数人再选两个，合起来是 120 分钟。每个模块 27 道选择题、单独计时 40 分钟，一个模块提前做完，剩下的时间不会结转到下一个模块。考场不发计算器也不发词典，只给一本可擦写的草稿册。内容不出 A-Level 第一年的范围，Maths 1 只到 GCSE 数学的深度。很多学生以为模块可以按心情挑，实际上它由你所申请的专业决定。
The ESAT has five modules: Mathematics 1, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics 2. Everyone sits Maths 1 plus, for most courses, two further modules, giving a 120 minute test, and each module is separately timed at 27 multiple choice questions in 40 minutes with no carry over of spare time. Calculators and dictionaries are banned and you work on an erasable booklet, though the content stays inside first year A level material with Maths 1 pitched at GCSE level.
模块在报名时就固定 事后只能取消再报名
模块选择是在报名页面上一次完成的。Course List 2027 Entry 的原话是模块选择在报名之后不能更改也不能增加。真到了考点也无法补救，官网写明考点不能替你改模块。唯一的路是取消这次考试再重新预约，而重新预约要看考点余位，原来的时间与地点都不保证还在。常见的错误是把这一步留到十月才看，那时热门考点往往已经排满。很多学生以为报名只是选个日期，其实模块和日期是同一张表上的两件事。
Module choices are locked in at the moment of booking. The 2027 course list states plainly that module selection cannot be changed or added after booking, and the test centre will not fix it on the day. The only route left is to cancel and re-book, which depends on test centre availability and may cost you your original time and location, so the clash has to be spotted before you pay rather than in the week of the test.
三类模块要求 固定组合 自由选择 与只考两模块
把 2027 入学的课程清单一行行读下来，模块要求只有三种形态。固定组合会写明具体的三个模块，考生必须全部报名。自由选择只写要求 Maths 1 再加任意两个，并列出可选范围。还有一种只要求两个模块，帝国理工的设计工程就是 Maths 1 配合 Maths 2。判断自己属于哪一类，权威来源是 UAT-UK 官网的课程清单，以及各校自己课程页上的原文。清单每页都标注了更新月份，2027 入学这一版是 2026 年 4 月更新。
Read the 2027 course list row by row and the module requirements fall into three shapes. A fixed set names the exact modules you must register for, a free choice asks for Maths 1 plus any two from a stated list, and a small number of courses want two modules only, such as Design Engineering at Imperial with Maths 1 and Maths 2. The course list is the authoritative source and it is dated, with the 2027 entry version updated in April 2026.
工程与物理类的固定组合多为 Maths 1 加 Maths 2 加 Physics

Engineering and physics courses converge on the same fixed set. Imperial asks for Maths 1, Maths 2 and Physics on its Aeronautical, Civil, Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical and Physics courses, and Oxford uses the identical trio for Engineering Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. Cambridge Engineering follows it as well, and because Chemistry never appears in this group, a second course that demands Chemistry is exactly where the trouble starts.
生命科学类的固定组合是 Maths 1 加 Chemistry 加 Biology
生命科学方向是另一套固定组合。帝国理工的生物化学 C700、生物科学 C100、生物技术 J700、微生物学 C500 与生态与环境生物学 C180 都要求 Maths 1、Chemistry 加 Biology，这一组里没有 Maths 2，也没有 Physics。化学工程的 H801 更特别，它要的是 Maths 1、Maths 2 加 Chemistry，把数学和化学放在一起。同一个学院内部因此就可能撞车：化学工程要 Maths 2 加 Chemistry，生物科学要 Chemistry 加 Biology，两者重叠的只有 Chemistry。报名之前先看这三个模块的科目名，比只看专业名字可靠。
Life sciences run on a different fixed set. Imperial asks for Maths 1, Chemistry and Biology across Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology and Ecology and Environmental Biology, with no Maths 2 or Physics anywhere in that group. Chemical Engineering is the odd one out, wanting Maths 1, Maths 2 and Chemistry, so two courses inside one university can already pull in different directions and only Chemistry is shared between them.
剑桥与 UCL 的自由选择专业可以自定两个模块
自由选择的写法是 Maths 1 加任意两个模块，可选范围是 Biology、Chemistry、Physics 和 Maths 2。剑桥的自然科学 BCF0、兽医学 D100、化学工程与生物技术 H810 都是这样，牛津的生物医学科学 BC98 和 UCL 的电子与电气工程 H600、H601 也一样。这类专业不锁定第二个和第三个模块，考生可以按自己正在学的科目来选。看起来很宽松，实际最容易踩坑：如果另一门专业是固定组合，自由选择的那一门就没有决定权。核对顺序是先找固定组合，再回来填自由选择。
A free choice course asks for Maths 1 plus any two from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths 2. Cambridge Natural Sciences, Veterinary Medicine and Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology work this way, as do Oxford Biomedical Sciences and the two UCL Electronic and Electrical Engineering courses. It looks like the most relaxed option, but once a second application carries a fixed set the free choice loses control of the decision, so locate your fixed set first and fill the spare slots afterwards.
帝国理工设计工程只要求 Maths 1 与 Maths 2
只要求两个模块的专业在清单里极少，帝国理工的设计工程 MEng 28G3 是明确的一例，清单在这一行写着 two modules only，并写明 Maths 1 配合 Maths 2。这类专业的考试时长只有 80 分钟，不是常见的 120 分钟。它带来的新问题是：一旦另一门意向专业要求三个模块，两次申请加在一起就会超过三个，需要在报名前把数量算清。少报必修模块的后果官网写得很直白，那门专业的申请可能失效。模块数量本身就是要求的一部分，不能只记住科目名字。
Very few rows ask for two modules only, and Imperial Design Engineering is the clear example, listed as Maths 1 plus Maths 2 and nothing else. That gives an 80 minute test rather than the usual 120 minutes. The complication appears as soon as a second choice needs a third module, because the two applications added together then exceed three, and UAT-UK warns that failing to register a compulsory module may invalidate that application.
一门固定加一门自由 用固定的那门决定选择
第一种冲突情形是一门专业固定、另一门自由。官网和课程清单给了同一个答案：模块选择必须由有固定组合的那门专业决定。举例来说，剑桥的自然科学可以自选两个模块，同时申请牛津的工程科学 H100 要求 Maths 1、Maths 2 加 Physics，那么两个自由名额就用于 Maths 2 和 Physics，而不是按兴趣挑生物和化学。反过来的错误也很常见：先按喜欢的科目选了 Biology 和 Chemistry，回头发现工程科学没有报 Physics，这门申请就处在危险位置。处理顺序是先固定后自由。
The first clash is one fixed course and one free choice. UAT-UK and the course list give the same answer, which is that the modules must be dictated by the course that lists compulsory modules. If your free choice is Cambridge Natural Sciences and your fixed set is Oxford Engineering Science, the two spare slots go to Maths 2 and Physics rather than to the subjects you enjoy most, and reversing that order leaves the fixed application exposed.
两门都固定且不对齐 可能要考四个模块
第二种冲突情形是两门专业都有三个固定模块，而且对不上。FAQ 的原话是考生可能需要考四个模块而不是三个。帝国理工的航空工程 H401 要 Maths 1、Maths 2 加 Physics，化学工程 H801 要 Maths 1、Maths 2 加 Chemistry，两者的并集正好是四个模块，重叠的 Maths 1 与 Maths 2 只考一次。这种情况不是自己决定就能解决的，需要 UAT-UK 批准。很多学生以为多报一个模块是点一下按钮的事情，实际上它会触发人工审核。
The second clash is two fixed sets that do not align. UAT-UK says you might need to sit four modules instead of three. Aeronautical Engineering wants Maths 1, Maths 2 and Physics while Chemical Engineering wants Maths 1, Maths 2 and Chemistry, so the union is four modules with Maths 1 and Maths 2 counted once. That is not something you settle by yourself, because it needs approval from UAT-UK before you book.
四模块要在报名前联系 UAT-UK 并触发审核
流程写在 FAQ 里：先通过账号给 UAT-UK 发消息说明两门专业的模块要求，官网特别强调要在报名之前做这件事。报名时在模块选择页面把需要的四个模块全部勾上，这一步会自动触发 UAT-UK 的复核。审核通过之后才继续付款与选考位。四模块的时长是 160 分钟，比常见安排多出 40 分钟，体力和注意力要提前留出余量。考位分布也要重新看，不是每个考点在同一天都能排出四个模块的场次。
The route is set out in the FAQ: message UAT-UK through your account with the module requirements of both courses, and do it before booking. When you reach the module selection screen, tick all four modules you need, and that selection triggers a review by UAT-UK. Only after approval should you pay and choose a centre, and because four modules stretch the sitting to 160 minutes, plan your stamina and check centre availability carefully.
没有报必修模块的后果是申请可能失效
官网在 ESAT 页面、课程清单首页和 FAQ 里反复写同一句话：没有注册所要求的模块，那门专业的申请可能失效。ESAT 页面另有一句更硬的表述，没有报名所要求的考试可能让申请失效。这意味着补报不是可选项，考完之后再解释也没有用，因为模块在报名时就固定了。常见的错误是把这条当作吓唬人的提醒，等到十二月才发现自己漏了 Chemistry。核对时把每门专业的必修模块写成清单，逐个打勾再付款。
The same warning appears on the ESAT page, the front of the course list and the FAQ: if you do not register for the required modules, your application to that course may be invalid. The ESAT page adds that failing to register for a required test may invalidate your application. Nothing can be repaired afterwards, because the module set is fixed at booking, so write down each course's compulsory modules and tick them off before you pay.
每模块单独计分 中位数固定在 4.5
ESAT 的分数按模块分别报告，每个模块给 1 到 9 分并保留一位小数，没有及格线。答对一题得一分，答错不扣分，所以 27 道题都值得作答。Prepare 页面写明中位数固定在 4.5，第 90 百分位固定在 7.0，这两个参照点用来比较不同场次的成绩。成绩大约在考试四周后通过账号公布，并自动送到你所申请且要求 ESAT 的院校，考生不能选择送给谁。考了四个模块就会有四个分数，不会合成一个总分。
ESAT scores are reported module by module on a scale from 1 to 9 to one decimal place, with no pass or fail mark. A correct answer scores one mark and wrong answers cost nothing, so every one of the 27 questions is worth attempting. The Prepare page fixes the median at 4.5 and the 90th percentile at 7.0, and results come out about four weeks later and are sent automatically to the courses that require the test.
2027 入学的两个考期与报名窗口
2027 入学有两个考期。十月场是 2026 年 10 月 12 日到 16 日，报名已在 2026 年 9 月 28 日英国时间 18 点截止，出分在 11 月 16 日。一月场是 2027 年 1 月 4 日到 8 日，报名在 2026 年 10 月 26 日英国时间 15 点开放，12 月 21 日 18 点截止，出分在 2027 年 2 月 8 日。费用按考点所在地计算，英国与爱尔兰 78 英镑，其他地区 133 英镑。剑桥与牛津的申请人一般必须考十月场，例外只有剑桥一月截止的成熟学院和牛津的 Astrophoria 预科年。中国内地、香港与澳门有各自的固定考试日，ESAT 在十月只开 12 日与 13 日，一月只开 6 日。
There are two sittings for 2027 entry. The October sitting ran from 12 to 16 October 2026, with booking closed on 28 September and results due on 16 November, and the January sitting runs from 4 to 8 January 2027, with booking opening on 26 October 2026 at 3pm UK time, closing on 21 December at 6pm and results due on 8 February 2027. Fees are £78 in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and £133 elsewhere, Cambridge and Oxford applicants normally sit in October, and candidates in China, Hong Kong and Macau sit ESAT only on 12 or 13 October or 6 January.
