Many candidates already receive extra time or a separate room in school exams, and assume those arrangements travel with them to a UAT-UK test. In practice, UAT-UK approves access arrangements separately: the approval comes from the UAT-UK office rather than from your school, and it has to be in place before you book. This article sets out what carries over, what evidence you need, and how the deadlines work on the 2027 entry timeline.
学校的特殊安排不会自动用到笔试上
学校里的特殊安排只在学校自己的考试里有效。UAT-UK 的笔试由 Pearson VUE 承办，考场设在独立的考试中心，学校那份批准文件在那里没有效力。考生要在 UAT-UK 账户里单独提申请，由 UAT-UK 办公室审核。审核通过以后，安排才会显示在账户里，也才会写进考试中心的预约。很多学生以为学校已经批过一次就可以直接用，这是最常见的一处误解。官网写明考试当天不能补加任何没有提前批准的安排。学校信函只是证明材料，它本身不等于批准。顺序只能是先申请、等批准、最后才报名。
A school's approval only covers that school's own exams, and it carries no weight at a Pearson VUE test centre. The arrangement has to be reviewed and approved by the UAT-UK office, and only then does it appear on your dashboard and on your booking. UAT-UK states plainly that no adjustments can be added on the day, so the order is always: apply, wait for approval, then book.

The FAQ page answers the question head-on: if you are entitled to arrangements such as extra time in school exams, you should be able to get them approved for a UAT-UK test, provided you supply supporting evidence. The wording matters, because being able to get something approved is not the same as carrying it over automatically. The policy adds a fallback for candidates whose existing arrangements sit outside JCQ rules, in which case UAT-UK will normally offer the equivalent UK reasonable adjustments.

That link is useful because the vocabulary lines up: extra time, separate invigilation, a reader, and supervised rest breaks mean the same thing on both sides. 需要 UAT-UK 提前批准的七类安排
官方列出需要 UAT-UK 办公室批准的项目一共七类。额外时间排在最前面，接着是休息与暂停计时、单独监考、读题员与记录员、从桌面取用药物或其他不允许带进考场的辅助物品、彩色覆膜，以及其他不在清单里的非标准安排。申请时要把需要的项目一次列全。官网写明 UAT-UK 只审核考生写出来的项目，没有写上的不会顺带批准。很多学生以为多列几项更稳妥，其实每多一项都要有对应的证据支撑。已经离开学校的人同样按这份清单提申请，只是证据类型不同。
UAT-UK lists the arrangements that need its approval: extra time, rest breaks or pause the clock, separate invigilation, a reader and recorder, access to medicine or non-permitted comfort aids from your desk, use of a coloured overlay, and other non-standard accommodations. Two practical points sit behind that list. You must list everything you need at the point of application, because UAT-UK only reviews and approves what you ask for, and candidates who have left education still apply through the same route with different evidence.
额外时间的默认比例是考试时长的 25%
额外时间不是按学校写的时长原样照搬。官网给出的默认口径是考试时长的 25%。ESAT 每个模块 40 分钟，25% 就是 10 分钟。TMUA 两卷合计 2 小时 30 分钟，25% 是 37 分半钟。学校信函里必须写明考生有权拿到的时间长度，否则 UAT-UK 无法核对。学校的安排如果写的是 50%，或者不同卷子有分项差别，申请时要一并说明。审批结果以账户里显示的项目为准。
Extra time is not copied across at whatever percentage the school happens to use, because the stated default is 25% of the test duration. That works out at ten extra minutes on a 40-minute ESAT module, and just over 37 minutes across the two TMUA papers. Your school letter therefore has to state the amount of time you are entitled to, while the approval you end up with is whatever appears on your dashboard.

Two grounds for extra time are normally refused outright. UAT-UK will not normally approve additional time because English is not your first language, nor because of handwriting issues, which catches many international candidates by surprise. Where speed is genuinely affected by a learning difference, a long-term medical condition or a mental health condition, the route is a diagnosis plus supporting evidence rather than a language argument.
休息与暂停计时的上限是每部分三次

Rest breaks, or pause the clock, are approved as an arrangement in their own right: the timer stops and you do not lose test time. The policy caps this at a maximum of three pause-the-clock breaks in each section of the ESAT or the TMUA. During a break you have no access to test content and cannot use notebooks, and invigilators who observe active work during a break may report it as potential misconduct.

Candidates still in education provide a signed letter on headed paper from their current or most recent school, college or university. It has to confirm the learning difference, disability or medical condition, the reasonable adjustments received in public exams, and the basis on which all of that was agreed, such as a diagnosis or an assessment by a registered psychologist. If you are requesting extra time the letter must state the amount, and if you are requesting a separate room it must confirm entitlement to one-to-one invigilation.

Instead of a letter, UAT-UK also accepts a full copy of one of the JCQ forms: Form 8, the application for access arrangements, or Form 9, the profile of need. Every page must be included, the form must not have been completed before the start of Year 9, and it has to be signed by the head of centre, the SENCo or the assessor. For candidates inside the UK system this is often the quickest route, because the school already holds the paperwork.
已经离开学校的人交哪一类证据
不在教育体系里的考生走另一套证据。有学习差异的，要提交 14 岁以后的完整诊断评估报告，由专业教师评估师或注册心理学家出具。报告里要写清学习差异、申请某一项安排的理由，以及这项差异会怎样影响笔试表现。身体残障、医疗状况或感官损伤的考生，要交近期的医生或专科医生信函。只有全科医生的一行诊断通常不够，官网要求材料能说明理由与影响。
Candidates who left education before 2026 must provide a different set of documents. For a learning difference that means a full post-14 diagnostic assessment report from a specialist teacher assessor or a registered psychologist, setting out the difference, the justification for each arrangement requested, and how performance would otherwise be affected. For a physical disability, medical condition or sensory impairment, a recent letter from a GP practice or specialist is required, so a bare diagnosis is not enough.
证据交不齐会取消已经批准的安排
政策里有一条容易被忽略的缓冲规则。截止日之前交不出证据的，安排可以先批准，条件是截止日之后两周内补齐材料。逾期不补，批准会被取消，已经约好的考试退回标准预约。大部分学生会在这里丢分，因为补交的时间点不是无限期。也就是说，考场上的额外时间会一起消失。学校放假拿不到信函的，官网明确说可以先提交申请，之后再通过账户里的安全消息补交。不要因为学校关门就放弃这一轮申请。
The policy contains a buffer that many candidates overlook. If the evidence cannot be produced before the deadline, arrangements may be approved on condition that the documentation arrives within two weeks of that deadline; after that the approval is cancelled and any scheduled test reverts to a standard booking. UAT-UK states that if your school is closed you should submit the request anyway and send the letter later through secure messaging in your account.
批准之前不要报名考试
顺序上有一条硬规定。政策写明，考生在需要的安排获批之前不应预约考试。官网也重复了一遍：等批准显示在账户里再去报名。额外时间与休息这两种安排获批后可以自己在网上预约。其他安排要联系 Pearson 客户服务预约，具体步骤在批准通知里给出。已经报了名才发现需要安排的，只能取消再重约，而且要受考点余位限制。常见的错误是先报名再补申请，改约时还要重新找考位，原来选好的时间与考点不保证还在。
There is one hard rule about sequencing: candidates must not book a test until any required access arrangements have been approved by UAT-UK. Once approval shows on your dashboard you can book, and if you were granted extra time or rest breaks only, the booking can be done online; other arrangements are booked through Pearson customer services. Anyone who books first and then discovers a need will have to cancel and rebook, subject to test centre availability.
2027 入学的时间线与固定考试日
2027 入学十月场的特殊安排申请已在 2026 年 9 月 14 日 18:00 英国时间截止。一月场的申请窗口在 2026 年 10 月 5 日 15:00 英国时间重新开放。一月场报名自 2026 年 10 月 26 日开放，带特殊安排的报名截止是 2026 年 12 月 7 日 18:00 英国时间，考试窗口是 2027 年 1 月 4 日至 8 日。审核最长 10 个工作日，官网建议至少提前 10 个工作日提交。中国内地、香港与澳门的考区另有固定单日：一月场 ESAT 在 1 月 6 日，TARA 在 1 月 7 日，TMUA 在 1 月 8 日，官方不做个人例外。剑桥与牛津的申请人通常必须考十月场。
On the 2027 entry timeline, the October 2026 access arrangements deadline passed on 14 September 2026, and the January 2027 window reopens on 5 October 2026. Booking for January opens on 26 October 2026, the booking deadline for candidates with access arrangements is 7 December 2026, and the test window runs from 4 to 8 January 2027. Reviews can take up to ten working days, and the official advice is to apply at least ten working days before you intend to book. Candidates in China, Hong Kong and Macau sit on fixed single days: ESAT on 6 January, TARA on 7 January and TMUA on 8 January, with no individual exceptions.
