Searching for scholarships is mostly a filtering problem. Official portals list so many awards that an unfiltered list is useless, and the wrong study level, the wrong host country or a deadline that has already passed wastes weeks of work. The QS scholarship search page reduces that to a few dropdowns: study level, study destination and deadline. Work through them in order and most longlists shrink to something you can actually read.
QS 奖学金搜索页的四个筛选入口
QS 官网的奖学金搜索页把筛选拆成四组。学历层次一栏列出 Bachelor's、Master's、MBA 与 PhD 四个选项。目的地一栏按国家或地区收窄，其他条件一栏给出 Female Only、Male Only、LGBTQ+、Military 与 Other 等分类。排序方式有 Relevance、Universities A-Z、Universities Z-A 与 Deadline 四种。结果区默认一页十条，总条数上限写的是 1000。把结果按 Deadline 排序，就能先处理时间最近的那几条。条件过窄时页面会直接给出一句 No scholarships found，这时要往回放宽一格再看。
The QS scholarship search page splits filtering into four groups. Study level offers Bachelor's, Master's, MBA and PhD, study destination narrows by country, and other criteria cover categories such as female only, male only, LGBTQ+, military and other. Results can be sorted by relevance, by university name in either direction, or by deadline. Sorting by deadline is the fastest way to see which awards close first, and if the empty-state message appears, one filter is simply too tight.
学历层次决定可申请的资金类型

Study level sits first for a reason. Large government awards cluster at postgraduate level, while undergraduate funding is more often an automatic, merit-based reduction awarded by the university itself. Chevening funds a one-year master's degree, Commonwealth Master's Scholarships require full-time taught master's study, and Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters expect applicants to hold a bachelor's degree. DAAD's database separates people who already hold a first degree into their own category, which is a useful reminder that level shapes the whole search.
一年制硕士的固定窗口：切弗宁奖学金
切弗宁奖学金的 2027/28 学年申请窗口已经写明。官网时间线页列出 2026 年 8 月 4 日 11:00 UTC 开放申请。截止时间是 2026 年 10 月 6 日 11:00 UTC，系统随后关闭。资格筛选从 2026 年 10 月开始，独立阅读委员会在 2026 年 10 月中到 2027 年 1 月之间评审。面试名单由英国使馆与高级专员公署在 2027 年 2 月中确定，面试安排在 2027 年 3 月到 4 月。结果从 2027 年 6 月中起公布，2027 年 9 月或 10 月入学。
Chevening publishes its timeline in full, and the 2027/28 window is a good example of a hard cycle. Applications opened on 4 August 2026 at 11:00 UTC and closed on 6 October 2026 at the same time, after which the system locks. Eligibility screening starts in October 2026, reading committees assess eligible applications from mid-October into January 2027, interviews run between March and April 2027, and results appear from mid-June 2027 for courses starting that autumn.
英联邦硕士奖学金的申请系统与截止时间

Commonwealth Master's Scholarships run a tighter window. The CSC states that applications for 2027/28 opened on Tuesday 8 September and close at 16:00 BST on Tuesday 20 October, for full-time taught master's study beginning in September or October 2027. Everything goes through CSC Central, and the commission does not accept applications or documents sent any other way. The form uses two-factor authentication, and applicants are advised to draft answers outside the system before submitting them.

Destination is not only about a country, because some awards travel with a programme. An Erasmus Mundus Joint Master is delivered by at least three institutions in three different countries, lasts one to two academic years worth 60, 90 or 120 ECTS credits, and ends in a joint or a multiple degree. Applications go to the institution running the programme rather than to the European Commission, and most programmes collect applications between October and January for the following academic year.

有的国家用统一数据库收口，德国 DAAD 的奖学金数据库就是一例。官网把筛选条件分成居住国、已获首个学位、资助目的、学科与项目名几组。数据库同时收录其他机构的项目，不只 DAAD 自家的。页面在免责声明里写明，其他机构的信息由 DAAD 尽力整理，但不保证正确或完整。它给的建议很直接，递交申请之前先向项目说明里列出的人确认最新条款。数据库适合用来发现项目，条款核对要回到项目方。
Some countries funnel funding information through a single database, and DAAD's scholarship database in Germany is a good example. Filters include the country you are applying from, whether you already hold a first degree, the purpose of funding, the subject and the programme title. It also lists programmes from other organisations, not only DAAD's own. The disclaimer is candid: information from other organisations is compiled with care, but correctness is not guaranteed, so confirm current terms with the named contact before applying.
截止日期的两种节奏

There are two rhythms behind a deadline. Fixed windows, common in Europe between October and January, close the door until the next intake, while rolling or university-set rounds assess applications as they arrive and can fill up early. Sorting a search by deadline is a quick way to isolate the fixed windows, but the year attached to a date matters just as much. An application closing in October 2026 often funds study starting in autumn 2027, so read the intake year rather than the closing month alone.
UTC 与 BST：截止时间的时区口径
官方截止时间多按伦敦时间写，不是当地午夜。切弗宁写的是 11:00 UTC，对应北京时间晚上 7 点。英联邦硕士奖学金写的是 16:00 BST，对应北京时间晚上 11 点。两个官网都专门提醒申请人换算本地时间。常见的错误是把它当成当天 24 点，结果晚了几小时。考虑到系统关闭不看理由，上传与提交都该留出提前量。
Official deadlines are usually written in London time, not local midnight. Chevening closes at 11:00 UTC, which is 19:00 in Beijing, and the Commonwealth Master's deadline is 16:00 BST, which is 23:00 in Beijing. Both portals explicitly warn applicants to convert the time into their own zone. Treating it as midnight on the closing day is a common error, and since the system does not reopen for anyone, submitting a day early is the only sensible margin.
奖学金申请与院校申请双线并行
奖学金申请和院校申请是两条并行的线，不是前后关系。切弗宁要求申请人填三个不同的英国硕士课程。入围面试的人要在面试前至少七个工作日上传身份证明、本科学历证书与推荐信等材料。面试通过之后，还要把至少一个无条件 offer 交上去。官网给的截止时间是 2027 年 7 月 8 日 17:00 BST。拿到有条件 offer 还不够，语言条件或毕业证条件都要在期限内清掉。很多学生以为先拿奖学金再申请学校，顺序上根本走不通。
A scholarship application and a university application run in parallel rather than one after the other. Chevening asks for three different UK master's courses, requires shortlisted candidates to upload identity documents, the undergraduate certificate and reference letters at least seven working days before the interview, and expects a successful interviewee to submit at least one unconditional offer by 17:00 BST on 8 July 2027. A conditional offer is not enough on its own, so language and graduation conditions have to be cleared in time.
资格硬条件要先于金额比较

Screen for eligibility before comparing value. Chevening's eligibility page is deliberately strict: applicants need at least two years of work experience gained after completing their undergraduate degree, which the site defines as 2,800 hours, and the degree itself must qualify them for a UK master's programme. The page also lists exclusions, including people who have already studied in the UK on a UK government-funded scholarship. Value comparisons only make sense once those boxes are ticked, and this is the step most often skipped in a hurry.
材料清单与七工作日的上传窗口
材料准备要倒排，不要等入围再动手。切弗宁的面试入围者需要在面试前至少七个工作日完成上传，材料包含带照片的身份证明、本科学历证书与推荐信。推荐信要提前跟推荐人打好招呼，留出修改时间。CSC Central 的表格建议先在系统外定稿再录入，注册前要准备好智能手机或第二个邮箱。护照与成绩单的扫描件都该在申请季开始前整理好。很多学生以为材料是面试之后才交，实际中间那道窗口很窄。
Documents should be prepared backwards from the deadline rather than after shortlisting. Chevening candidates upload photo identification, the undergraduate certificate and reference letters at least seven working days before their interview, so referees need advance notice. The CSC Central form is best drafted outside the system, and registration requires either a smartphone or a second email address for two-factor authentication. Passport and transcript scans are worth sorting out before the season opens, because the upload window is narrower than most people expect.
三个高频筛选错误
筛选题时有三处反复出现的失手。一种是只按金额排序，忽略学历层次与国籍条件，结果读了一堆无法申请的项目。一种是把第三方网站上的日期当官方口径，发布年份和开放时间都可能滞后。一种是漏掉滚动收件的院校奖学金，等想起时名额已经满了。稳妥做法是把官网当作唯一口径来源，第三方页面只用来发现问题。发现一个项目后，回到官网确认资格、时间与材料三项。三处都对得上，再投入时间写文书。
Three errors keep showing up. Sorting by value alone ignores study level and nationality rules, so the list fills with awards you cannot win; trusting third-party dates is risky, because publication years and opening dates drift; and rolling university awards quietly fill while applicants wait for a fixed window that never comes. Confirm everything on the official page, use third-party listings only to discover programmes, and check eligibility, dates and documents there before investing time in an essay.
