博士贷款 身份证明 护照信息表 学生财务
英国的博士贷款帮助博士生支付课程费用与生活开支，申请流程里有一项容易被忽略的前置环节，就是身份核对。英国国籍申请人要在申请里填好有效英国护照的信息，信息不完整或者护照过期时要另外补交表格。很多学生以为网上申请提交完就自动完成了身份验证，其实护照信息需要单独提供，表格还按学年分版本。下面把 2026 到 2027 学年的金额、时间窗口、证件路径与常见错误逐项说清，口径来自 gov.uk 的博士贷款页面。
A Postgraduate Doctoral Loan from Student Finance England is meant to cover course fees and living costs over a doctorate, and it starts with an identity check. Confirming who you are is a separate step from submitting the application itself. The figures and rules below follow what gov.uk publishes for the 2026 to 2027 academic year.
博士贷款金额：三档上限与三笔发放
博士贷款按入学年份分三档上限。课程在 2026 年 8 月 1 日或之后开始，可借最高 31122 英镑。课程在 2025 年 8 月 1 日至 2026 年 7 月 31 日之间开始，上限是 30301 英镑，再早一年开始的上限是 29390 英镑。这笔钱不看家庭收入，也不会因为父母收入高而减少。贷款直接打进学生本人账户，可以用在学费，也可以用在生活开支，由学生自己分配。金额在学习年限里平均分摊，每学年分三笔发放，比例是百分之三十三、百分之三十三与百分之三十四。第一笔要在课程开始之后、学校确认学生完成注册才会放出。中途入学也能申请，但单年上限更紧，按 2026 到 2027 学年算是 13206 英镑。
The maximum doctoral loan depends on when the course started rather than on household income. For a course beginning on or after 1 August 2026 the ceiling is £31,122, a course that started between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2026 tops out at £30,301, and one that began a year earlier at £29,390. The money is paid to the student rather than the university in three instalments of 33, 33 and 34 per cent across each year, with the first payment released only after the institution confirms registration.

Timing catches people out more often than the paperwork does. You have to apply within nine months of the first day of the last academic year of the course, and that first day is fixed by the month in which the course began rather than by the calendar year. The example on gov.uk is a three-year course starting on 17 October 2024, where the deadline falls on 31 May 2027, and a single application covers the whole doctorate, so continuing students check their online account each year instead of reapplying.

For British applicants, identity is proved with the details of a valid UK passport. Those details can be typed straight into the online application, and the Student Loans Company then checks them against the passport records held by HM Passport Office. If you cannot apply online, or you apply first and send the details later, the passport details form is the route, and the passport itself must never be posted to Darlington, so the original document stays with you. A name that does not match the application, for instance after marriage, is the usual sticking point.

The UK passport details form is a single page used only when the passport details are not already inside the application. It asks for an 11-digit customer reference number, the forename and surname on the passport, and the dates of issue and expiry, and it has to be signed in ink by hand rather than electronically. Each academic year has its own version published by the Student Loans Company on gov.uk, so the year printed at the top of the form has to match the year the course started.

An expired passport creates a different route rather than a dead end. If the passport expires before the form reaches the Student Loans Company, the details on it are refused, and the applicant sends the original birth or adoption certificate with a completed birth or adoption certificate form instead. Keeping a copy of anything posted is sensible, because replacing an original takes far longer than photocopying it, and applicants who can renew a passport quickly may prefer that route.

Eligibility rests on nationality, where you normally live and how long you have lived there. You need to be a UK national, an Irish citizen, or to hold settled status or indefinite leave to remain, and you must normally live in England with three continuous years of residence in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man behind you. Temporary absences such as holidays do not break that run, but moving to England to study does not make it your normal home.

The course itself has to qualify. It must be a full, standalone doctorate that began on or after 1 August 2018 and lasts between three and eight academic years at a UK university with research degree awarding powers. Full-time and part-time study both count, and where a UK university leads a joint programme with an overseas partner at least half of the study time has to be spent in the UK; applicants must also be under 60 on the first day of the first academic year.
哪些情况会失去博士贷款资格
有几类资金与学历状态会让申请直接失效。已经拿到或将拿到研究理事会资助的，包括津贴、奖学金与学费支持，都不能再借博士贷款。社会工作助学金、教育心理学助学金同样冲突，可申请国民医疗服务体系助学金的课程也在排除范围内，哪怕学生实际没有申请。已经在为另一门课程领取学生财务款项的，也不能重复领取。此前借过博士贷款的学生原则上不能再次申请，除非离开课程的原因是生病、丧亲或者其他严重的个人原因。已经取得博士学位或同等、更高学历的学生不符合条件，以出版物形式获得博士学位的也在排除之列。有学生贷款欠款未还清的，申请同样会被拒绝。
Some funding sources and some academic histories rule the loan out altogether. Research Council funding, a social work bursary, an educational psychology bursary or eligibility for an NHS bursary all conflict with the doctoral loan, and so does already receiving Student Finance England payments for another course. A previous doctoral loan normally blocks a second one unless the course was left because of illness, bereavement or another serious personal reason, and holding a doctorate or being behind on repayments also ends the conversation.

Two extra documents come up more often than applicants expect. An evidence return form carries supporting proof such as residency status, while the UK employment status form is sent when the Student Loans Company needs to confirm employment or residence in the UK. Being asked for either one is routine rather than a sign of trouble, but each has its own reply deadline, and a late return can delay that year's payments, so putting the date in a calendar is worth the small effort.
寄送地址与递交前的自查项
寄回材料用表格上印的地址，也就是英格兰学生财务在达灵顿的邮政信箱。信封里要放姓名、地址，有客户参考号的一并写上，用网上账户提交过申请的再注明账户。护照信息表与出生证明这类文件不要用普通平信寄，挂号或者带追踪号的方式更稳。材料寄出前逐项核对，表格年度、姓名拼写、护照号码、签发与到期日期、签名与日期，这几项在退回案例里出现最多。申请提交后可以在网上账户里修改银行信息与联系方式，涉及贷款金额的调整要走贷款申请变更表，换学校或换课程要走情况变更表，两张表都不能在线提交。护照信息表只用来确认身份，提交它是为了继续审核，不是重复申请。

Put your name, address and customer reference number inside the envelope, and use a tracked service for anything original. Amount changes need the loan request form and a change of university or course needs the change of circumstances form, neither of which can be filed online, while bank and contact details can be updated in the online account.

Most of the mistakes in this step are small ones. The commonest is posting the passport itself when the guidance on gov.uk says clearly not to, followed by downloading the form for the wrong academic year, which tends to catch students applying near the boundary between two years. Leaving out the customer reference number slows everything down as well, and submitting an application is not the same thing as completing the identity check.
