Grades run from A* down to E, with a separate P for pass and U for ungraded, and all of these appear on the certificate. Work-related purposes, shortened to WRP, form the spine of the content. The first one asks students to interpret and evaluate financial and accounting information in support of organisational decisions, which is a task rather than a topic list. Ethical, governance and risk considerations sit alongside it, covering the responsibilities attached to using and communicating financial information, and the list is described as indicative rather than exhaustive.
内容对应的职业标准与 SOC 代码

The content lists five occupational standards, each carrying a SOC occupation code, from accounting technician through assistant accountant to commercial finance analyst and finance business partner. The replacement picture is not one-sided: the T Level in accounting continues, while the T Level in finance will be withdrawn after the final 2026 to 2027 cohort because uptake was low and the level 3 focus was seen as too narrow. The new V Level is presented as the broader option that still leaves a technical route in place. Checking which route a college actually offers matters more than comparing subject names.

To be guaranteed funding from 1 August 2027, the first tranche of new qualifications must be accredited and appear on Ofqual's register by 3 May 2027. Accreditation after that date is still possible, but funding may start later. Funding approval also runs through set windows, and a qualification has to be listed on find a learning aim before a provider can enrol anyone, so the practical question for a student is whether the course is funded and listed, not whether it exists on paper.

There are no mandatory prior learning requirements set by DfE, so each school or college sets its own level 2 entry conditions, including which GCSE grades it asks for. Students aiming at a 2027 start should confirm three things with the provider: whether the course runs, which awarding organisation is used, and which GCSEs are listed for entry. Maths and English still have to be studied alongside the programme if the relevant grades were not reached, which is easy to overlook.
