Aiming for Grade 7–9 in GCSE AQA Maths? Brute-force past papers alone won't cut it — you need a strategy. Here are 5 proven tips from the classroom that turn "I know this" into marks on the paper.
❶ 把考纲当成你的地图 🗺️
AQA 官网有详细的 specification（课程大纲），每一章明确标注了 Foundation/Higher 范围。打印出来，用荧光笔逐条标记已掌握 vs. 薄弱。这比任何复习指南都精准——因为考试题目只从这里出。
The AQA specification is your exam blueprint. Download it, print it, and highlight every topic: green for mastered, orange for shaky. No revision guide is more precise — exam questions can only come from the specification.
❷ 死磕"高频题型"而非广撒网 🎯
过去 5 年 AQA Higher 卷中，以下题型几乎场场出现：二次方程求根、三角函数（SOHCAHTOA + 正弦/余弦定理）、累积频率图、直方图、函数变换、矢量几何证明。先确保这 6 类题 100% 做对，再去攻克偏题。

Paper 2 & 3 允许使用计算器。熟练操作 Casio fx-83/85 系列的 TABLE 模式（解方程）、STAT 模式（均值/标准差）、分数 ↔ 小数切换。Paper 1 非计算器卷则要练乘法表、分数四则运算、常见平方根/立方根的心算。
Papers 2 & 3 allow calculators — exploit this. Learn the TABLE mode (solve equations by scanning), STAT mode (mean/SD in seconds), and fraction-decimal toggling on your Casio fx-83/85. For Paper 1 (non-calculator), drill times tables, fraction arithmetic, and mental squares/roots until they're automatic.
❺ 模拟考要"真枪实弹" ⏱️
每周至少做 1 套完整真题，严格计时：Paper 1 1h30min, Paper 2 & 3 各 1h30min。做完后不只看对错——对照 mark scheme 逐行比对你的步骤和官方要求的步骤，修正"我知道但没写出来"的隐形丢分。
One full timed past paper per week, minimum. 1h30 under exam conditions — no phone, no breaks. After marking, don't just tally scores: compare your working line-by-line with the official mark scheme. The difference between "I knew it" and "I wrote it down properly" is where most Grade 6 students lose their Grade 8.
