📚 IGCSE Cambridge German: Cross-Curricular Integrated Question Training | IGCSE 剑桥德语:跨学科综合题型训练
Cambridge IGCSE German (0525) rarely tests language in isolation. Reading and listening texts regularly combine German with content drawn from history, geography, science, maths, art, music, sport and business, and the writing and speaking papers expect you to produce a similar blend. The exam does not ask you to be an expert in any of these fields, but it does require you to read, listen to and write about them in accurate German.
剑桥 IGCSE 德语(0525)很少孤立地考查语言。阅读与听力文本经常把德语与历史、地理、科学、数学、艺术、音乐、体育和商业等内容结合起来,写作与口语卷同样期待你能产出类似的混合内容。考试并不要求你成为这些领域的专家,但确实要求你能用准确的德语阅读、听取和写作这些话题。
This guide sets out what cross-curricular questions look like, which vocabulary and structures recur, and how to train for them systematically over four weeks.
本文说明跨学科题型的样子、反复出现的词汇与结构,以及如何用四周时间系统训练。
1. Why Cross-Curricular Questions Matter | 为什么跨学科题型很重要
The Cambridge IGCSE German syllabus is built around five broad topic areas: everyday activities, personal and social life, the world around us, the world of work, and the international world. Within those areas, exam texts often include statistical data, historical references, scientific facts or cultural comments. You therefore need to activate both language skills and general knowledge at the same time.
剑桥 IGCSE 德语大纲围绕五大主题领域构建:日常活动、个人与社会生活、我们周围的世界、工作世界以及国际世界。在这些领域之内,考试文本往往包括统计数据、历史参考、科学事实或文化评论。因此你需要同时调动语言技能和常识。
In practice this means that a single reading passage may move from a climate chart to a sentence about recycling policy, and then to an opinion about whether the government should do more. Each shift of subject brings its own mini-vocabulary set and its own typical grammar.
在实践中,这意味着同一篇阅读材料可能从一张气候图表,转到一句关于回收政策的话,再转到"政府是否应该做得更多"的观点。每一次学科切换都会带来一小组专属词汇和典型的语法结构。
- Geography: climate charts, population figures, renewable energy data | 地理:气候图、人口数据、可再生能源数据
- History: dates, past events, changes over time | 历史:日期、过去事件、随时间发生的变化
- Science: health, environment, simple experiments | 科学:健康、环境、简单实验
- Maths: percentages, fractions, decimals, graph trends | 数学:百分比、分数、小数、图表趋势
- Art and music: paintings, exhibitions, songs, instruments, concerts | 艺术与音乐:绘画、展览、歌曲、乐器、音乐会
- Sport: competitions, training, records, teams | 体育:比赛、训练、纪录、团队
- Business: jobs, applications, companies, fair trade | 商业:工作、求职、公司、公平贸易
2. Recognising the Subject Context | 识别学科语境
Context markers tell you which subject frame you are in before you have understood every word. Words such as "das Diagramm" (diagram), "die Tabelle" (table) and "steigen" (to rise) point to data interpretation. Words such as "im Jahr", "früher" and "seit" point to historical statements. Scientific texts often use "weil", "dadurch", "die Ursache" and "das Experiment".
语境标记能在你完全理解每个词之前,就告诉你处于哪一个学科框架中。诸如 "das Diagramm"(图表)、"die Tabelle"(表格)、"steigen"(上升)等词指向数据解读;"im Jahr"、"früher"、"seit" 等词指向历史陈述。科学类文本则经常使用 "weil"、"dadurch"、"die Ursache" 和 "das Experiment"。
| Marker | 标记词 | Subject frame | 学科框架 | What to expect | 预期内容 |
Train yourself to say the frame out loud in the first five seconds: "This is a data text." That single decision tells you whether to hunt for numbers, dates or causal connectors.
训练自己在头五秒内说出框架:"这是一篇数据文本。" 这一个判断就能决定你该去找数字、日期还是因果连接词。
3. Geography and Environment | 地理与环境
Environment topics appear in almost every past paper.
Trend verbs are the backbone of these tasks: "steigen" (to rise), "sinken" (to fall), "zunehmen" (to increase), "abnehmen" (to decrease), "bleiben gleich" (to stay the same) and "sich verdoppeln" (to double). Learn them together with their prepositions, because the preposition carries the meaning.
趋势动词是这类题型的骨架:"steigen"(上升)、"sinken"(下降)、"zunehmen"(增加)、"abnehmen"(减少)、"bleiben gleich"(保持不变)、"sich verdoppeln"(翻倍)。要把它们和介词一起记,因为介词承载了意义。
- Die Temperatur ist um 2 °C gestiegen. | 气温上升了 2 摄氏度。
- Die Zahl ist auf 40 Millionen gefallen. | 该数字下降到了 4000 万。
- Die Preise sind von 20 auf 35 Euro gestiegen. | 价格从 20 欧元涨到 35 欧元。
- Seit 1990 hat sich der Ausstoß verdoppelt. | 自 1990 年以来排放量翻了一倍。
Notice the pattern "um ... steigen" for the size of a change and "auf ... steigen" for the final figure. Mixing them up is one of the most common lost marks in data questions.
注意 "um ... steigen" 表示变化幅度,"auf ... steigen" 表示最终数值。把两者混淆是数据题中最常见的失分点之一。
4. History and Time References | 历史与时间表达
History-flavoured texts test dates, sequence and change over time. Typical expressions are "im Jahr 1989", "seit 1990", "vor drei Jahren", "damals", "früher", "nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg", "die Wiedervereinigung" (reunification) and "die Mauer" (the Wall).
带历史色彩的文本考查日期、顺序和随时间发生的变化。典型表达有 "im Jahr 1989"、"seit 1990"、"vor drei Jahren"、"damals"、"früher"、"nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg"、"die Wiedervereinigung"(统一)和 "die Mauer"(柏林墙)。
Grammar matters here. Spoken narrative uses the perfect tense ("hat sich verändert"), written reports prefer the simple past ("veränderte sich"), and events before a past reference point need the pluperfect ("hatte gebaut"). Passive forms such as "wurde gebaut" (was built) are extremely frequent in historical summaries.
语法在这里很关键。口语叙述用现在完成时("hat sich verändert"),书面报道更常用过去时("veränderte sich"),而发生在过去某一时间点之前的事件需要过去完成时("hatte gebaut")。像 "wurde gebaut"(被建造)这样的被动形式在历史概述中极为常见。
When a question asks "Was hat sich verändert?", do not simply copy the date. Answer with a structure: "Früher ..., aber heute ..." (In the past ..., but today ...). This shows both comprehension and range.
当题目问 "Was hat sich verändert?" 时,不要只抄一个日期。用结构作答:"Früher ..., aber heute ..."(过去……,但今天……)。这样既显示理解,也显示语言广度。
5. Science and Health Texts | 科学与健康文本
Health and science topics cover "die Ernährung" (diet), "die Bewegung" (exercise), "der Stress", "das Immunsystem", "die Ursache" (cause), "die Wirkung" (effect), "das Ergebnis" (result) and "die Messung" (measurement). Instructions in simple experiments use imperatives: "Man mischt ...", "Zuerst ...", "Danach ...", "Zum Schluss ...".
健康与科学话题涵盖 "die Ernährung"(饮食)、"die Bewegung"(运动)、"der Stress"(压力)、"das Immunsystem"(免疫系统)、"die Ursache"(原因)、"die Wirkung"(效果)、"das Ergebnis"(结果)和 "die Messung"(测量)。简单实验的说明使用命令式:"Man mischt ..."、"Zuerst ..."、"Danach ..."、"Zum Schluss ..."。
Cause-and-effect is the key skill. "Weil" sends the verb to the end, "deshalb" and "dadurch" invert the subject and verb, and "sodass" introduces a consequence. Being able to rewrite the same idea in two or three of these patterns is worth more than learning ten extra nouns.
因果关系是核心技能。"weil" 把动词推到句末,"deshalb" 和 "dadurch" 引起主谓倒装,"sodass" 引出结果。能用其中两三种结构改写同一个意思,比多背十个名词更有价值。
- Viele Jugendliche schlafen zu wenig, weil sie lange am Handy sind. | 很多青少年睡眠不足,因为他们长时间玩手机。
- Sie schlafen zu wenig, deshalb sind sie oft müde. | 他们睡眠不足,因此常常疲倦。
- Dadurch sinkt die Konzentration im Unterricht. | 因此上课时的注意力下降。
6. Maths, Data and Graph Language | 数学、数据与图表语言
Numbers are where small details decide marks. German uses a comma for decimals and a full stop for thousands: 3,5 means three point five, and 1.000 means one thousand. Percentages are written with a space before the sign: 25 %. "Prozent" itself does not change after a number: "fünf Prozent".
数字方面,细节决定分数。德语用逗号表示小数、用句点表示千位:3,5 就是三点五,1.000 就是一千。百分比符号前有空格:25 %。数字后的 "Prozent" 本身不变形:"fünf Prozent"。
Fractions appear as "die Hälfte" (a half), "ein Drittel" (a third), "ein Viertel" (a quarter) and "drei Viertel" (three quarters). Comparisons use "mehr als", "weniger als", "genauso ... wie", "doppelt so viel wie" and "dreimal so hoch wie".
分数形式有 "die Hälfte"(一半)、"ein Drittel"(三分之一)、"ein Viertel"(四分之一)和 "drei Viertel"(四分之三)。比较用 "mehr als"、"weniger als"、"genauso ... wie"、"doppelt so viel wie" 和 "dreimal so hoch wie"。
Wachstumsrate in % = (neuer Wert − alter Wert) ÷ alter Wert × 100
If the chart shows an increase from 25 % to 30 %, the phrase you need is "um fünf Prozentpunkte gestiegen" (risen by five percentage points), not "um fünf Prozent". Examiners reward precision, and so do the marks in data-transfer questions.
如果图表显示从 25 % 上升到 30 %,你需要的说法是 "um fünf Prozentpunkte gestiegen"(上升了五个百分点),而不是 "um fünf Prozent"。考官奖励精确表达,数据转换题的分数也是如此。
7. Art, Music and Sport Topics | 艺术、音乐与体育话题
Cultural topics reward descriptive vocabulary and opinion phrases. For art you need "der Maler" (painter), "das Gemälde" (painting), "die Ausstellung" (exhibition), "die Farben" (colours) and "das Museum". For music: "das Lied" (song), "der Komponist", "das Orchester", "die Bühne" (stage), "das Instrument" and "der Auftritt" (performance).
Typical exam task: compare two clubs, or explain why a young person gave up a sport.
- Es lohnt sich, ins Museum zu gehen. | 去博物馆是值得的。
- Ich habe früher Fußball gespielt, aber jetzt mache ich Leichtathletik. | 我以前踢足球,但现在练田径。
8. Business and the World of Work | 商业与工作世界
The world of work supplies a formal register that many candidates avoid: "die Bewerbung" (application), "das Praktikum" (internship), "der Lebenslauf" (CV), "das Vorstellungsgespräch" (interview), "die Stelle" (position), "der Arbeitgeber" (employer), "die Arbeitszeit" (working hours), "das Gehalt" (salary) and "das Unternehmen" (company).
工作世界提供了一种许多考生回避的正式语域:"die Bewerbung"(求职申请)、"das Praktikum"(实习)、"der Lebenslauf"(简历)、"das Vorstellungsgespräch"(面试)、"die Stelle"(职位)、"der Arbeitgeber"(雇主)、"die Arbeitszeit"(工作时间)、"das Gehalt"(薪水)和 "das Unternehmen"(公司)。
The international world overlaps with business through themes such as "der faire Handel" (fair trade), "die Globalisierung", "der Umweltschutz im Betrieb" and "die Arbeitsbedingungen" (working conditions). Formal letters and emails still follow German conventions: "Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren," at the start, and "Mit freundlichen Grüßen" at the end, followed by your name on a new line.
国际世界通过 "der faire Handel"(公平贸易)、"die Globalisierung"(全球化)、"der Umweltschutz im Betrieb"(企业环保)和 "die Arbeitsbedingungen"(工作条件)等主题与商业交叉。正式信件和电子邮件仍遵循德语惯例:开头用 "Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,",结尾用 "Mit freundlichen Grüßen",然后另起一行署名。
When you write about a job, do not simply list duties. Add a reason and a result: "Ich möchte ein Praktikum machen, weil ich Erfahrung sammeln will. Dadurch habe ich später bessere Chancen."
写工作话题时,不要只罗列职责。加上原因和结果:"Ich möchte ein Praktikum machen, weil ich Erfahrung sammeln will. Dadurch habe ich später bessere Chancen."
9. Reading and Listening Strategies | 阅读与听力策略
For reading, work in three passes. First skim for the topic and the text type. Second scan for the specific information the question demands: a number, a date, a name, a reason. Third check the words around your answer, because the distractor is usually nearby.
阅读时做三轮。第一轮略读,抓住主题和文本类型。第二轮扫读,寻找题目要求的具体信息:数字、日期、人名、原因。第三轮检查答案周围的词,因为干扰项通常就在附近。
For listening, predict before the audio starts and write numbers as digits, not words. Watch for "nicht mehr" (no longer), "kaum" (hardly), "nur" (only) and "statt" (instead of), which reverse the surface meaning. Numbers such as "sechzehn" (16) and "sechzig" (60), or "zwei" and "drei", are deliberately paired in questions.
听力方面,音频开始前先预测,并把数字写成阿拉伯数字而非单词。注意 "nicht mehr"(不再)、"kaum"(几乎不)、"nur"(仅仅)和 "statt"(代替),这些词会反转表面意思。像 "sechzehn"(16)与 "sechzig"(60)、"zwei" 与 "drei" 这样的数字,常被刻意配对出题。
- Underline every number and unit in the question before reading. | 读文章前先划出题目中每个数字和单位。
- Mark contrast words: aber, jedoch, trotzdem, obwohl. | 标出转折词:aber, jedoch, trotzdem, obwohl。
- Use cognates as anchors, but verify them. | 用同源词作锚点,但要核实。
- Never leave a multiple-choice box empty: use elimination. | 选择题不要留空:用排除法。
10. Writing and Speaking: Producing Cross-Curricular Answers | 写作与口语:产出跨学科答案
A strong cross-curricular answer has three moves: a statement, a piece of evidence, and a comment. "In meiner Stadt gibt es viele Fahrräder. Die Zahl ist seit 2015 um 30 % gestiegen. Das finde ich positiv, weil die Luft sauberer wird." Three sentences, three marks' worth of range.
优秀的跨学科答案有三个动作:陈述、证据、评论。"In meiner Stadt gibt es viele Fahrräder. Die Zahl ist seit 2015 um 30 % gestiegen. Das finde ich positiv, weil die Luft sauberer wird." 三句话,三种能得分的语言广度。
Build a connector bank and use it deliberately: "zuerst", "außerdem", "zum Beispiel", "im Vergleich zu", "deshalb", "allerdings", "abschließend". In the longer writing task, a text of roughly 130-150 words with clear paragraphs will usually score better than a longer unstructured one.
建立一个连接词库并有意识地使用:"zuerst"、"außerdem"、"zum Beispiel"、"im Vergleich zu"、"deshalb"、"allerdings"、"abschließend"。在较长的写作任务中,一篇约
