本评分标准为一份总分 40 分的 KS3 CIE 粒子理论练习题提供答案范例、可接受替代表述与评分要点。它既供需要在不同班级之间统一评分的教师与辅导老师使用,也供希望按照 Cambridge Lower Secondary Science 所要求标准进行自评的学生使用。
1. General Marking Guidance | 总体评分指南
This mark scheme is designed for a 40-mark worksheet. Award one mark for each correct scientific point unless a question states otherwise. Accept equivalent wording as long as the meaning matches the model answer.
本评分标准适用于一份 40 分的练习题。除题目另有说明外,每个正确科学要点得 1 分。只要意思与标准答案一致,可接受等价的表述。
Do not penalise spelling errors unless the word becomes unrecognisable or changes meaning. For example, 'particul' can be accepted for 'particle' in context, but 'particular' should not be accepted for 'particle'.
拼写错误一般不扣分,除非单词无法辨认或改变含义。例如,上下文中的 'particul' 可视为 'particle',但 'particular' 不能代替 'particle'。
If a question asks for two reasons, mark each reason independently. Do not award a second mark for a restatement of the first reason, and do not award a mark for a correct statement that is immediately contradicted later in the same answer.
若题目要求给出两条理由,应分别独立给分。对第一条理由的重复表述不予第二分;同一答案中先出现正确表述、随后又被自身否定的,该要点不得分。
- Accept: scientific synonyms, correct everyday examples, clearly labelled diagrams, correct units, correct directions shown by arrows.
可接受:科学同义词、正确的日常实例、标注清晰的示意图、正确的单位、用箭头表示的正确方向。 - Do not accept: vague words such as 'stuff', 'thing', 'gets bigger' or 'goes faster' with no named quantity.
不可接受:'stuff'、'thing'、'gets bigger'、'goes faster' 等含糊说法,除非给出所指的是哪个物理量。 - Ignore: repeated correct points and harmless extra detail that does not contradict the model answer.
忽略:重复的正确要点,以及不与标准答案矛盾的无关补充内容。
2. Worksheet Structure and Mark Allocation | 练习题结构与分值分配
The worksheet is divided into six topic sections. Each section tests recall, application and explanation, so a student who can only state facts will not reach the top band. The table below shows the intended balance of marks.
本练习题分为六个主题板块,每个板块同时考查记忆、应用与解释能力,因此只会复述事实的学生难以进入最高分段。下表为本卷的分值分布。
| Section | Topic | Marks | Main Skill |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | States of matter and particle arrangement | 8 | Describe and compare |
| B | Changes of state | 6 | Name and sequence |
| C | Heating and cooling curves | 6 | Interpret graphs |
| D | Diffusion | 8 | Explain with particles |
| E | Gas pressure and temperature | 6 | Explain cause and effect |
| F | Dissolving, solutions and conservation of mass | 6 | Apply and reason |
Where a question says 'any two from', award a maximum of two marks even if the student gives four correct points. Where a question says 'use the particle model', an answer that does not mention particles or their movement cannot gain the explanation mark.
题目若注明 'any two from'(任答两点),即使学生写出四点正确内容,最多也只给 2 分。题目若要求 'use the particle model'(用粒子模型解释),答案中未提及粒子或其运动的,不能获得解释分。
3. Core Model Answers: States of Matter and Particle Arrangement | 核心答案:物态与粒子排列
Section A asks students to describe the three states of matter using spacing, arrangement, movement and forces between particles. Each of these four features is worth one mark when a comparison is required.
A 部分要求学生从间隔、排列方式、运动方式以及粒子间作用力四个方面描述三种物态。凡是要求进行比较的题目,这四个特征各占 1 分。
| Feature | Solid | Liquid | Gas |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spacing | Very close together | Close together | Far apart |
| Arrangement | Regular, ordered pattern | Random but still touching | Random, large gaps |
| Movement | Vibrate about fixed positions | Slide past one another | Move quickly in all directions |
| Forces | Strong forces of attraction | Weaker forces than in a solid | Negligible forces between particles |
Model answer for 'Why does a solid keep its shape but a liquid does not?': in a solid the particles are held in fixed positions by strong forces, so they can only vibrate; in a liquid the forces are weaker and the particles can slide past each other, so the liquid flows and takes the shape of its container while keeping a fixed volume.
'为什么固体能保持形状而液体不能?'的标准答案:固体中粒子被较强的作用力固定在确定位置上,只能振动;液体中作用力较弱,粒子可以相互滑过,因此液体能流动并占据容器形状,但体积保持不变。
Accept 'particles in a solid are in a lattice' as an alternative to 'regular arrangement'. Do not accept 'solids have no movement' - vibration is still movement.
可接受用 'particles in a solid are in a lattice'(固体粒子构成晶格)代替 'regular arrangement'(规则排列)。不可接受 'solids have no movement'(固体粒子不运动),因为振动本身也是运动。
4. Core Model Answers: Changes of State | 核心答案:物态变化
Students must name the six changes of state correctly and state whether energy is taken in or given out. One mark is awarded for the correct name and one mark for the correct direction of energy transfer.
学生必须正确写出六种物态变化的名称,并说明过程是吸收能量还是放出能量。名称正确得 1 分,能量传递方向正确再得 1 分。
- Melting: solid → liquid, energy taken in (endothermic).
熔化:固态 → 液态,吸收能量(吸热)。 - Freezing (solidifying): liquid → solid, energy given out.
凝固:液态 → 固态,放出能量。 - Boiling: liquid → gas throughout the liquid, energy taken in.
沸腾:液体内部与表面同时发生的液体 → 气体,吸收能量。 - Evaporation: liquid → gas at the surface only, below the boiling point.
蒸发:仅在液体表面发生、温度低于沸点时的液体 → 气体。 - Condensation: gas → liquid, energy given out.
凝结:气体 → 液态,放出能量。 - Sublimation: solid → gas directly, without becoming a liquid.
升华:固态直接 → 气态,不经过液态。
The standard explanation is that during a change of state the energy transferred is used to overcome the forces of attraction between particles, not to increase their average speed, so the temperature stays constant.
标准解释是:物态变化过程中所传递的能量用于克服粒子之间的作用力,而不是用来增加粒子的平均速率,因此温度保持不变。
Accept 'break the bonds between particles' only if the student makes clear that these are forces of attraction between particles, not chemical bonds within molecules. A common error is to write 'the particles melt', which scores zero because particles themselves do not change state.
只有当学生明确指出这是粒子间的吸引力而非分子内部的化学键时,才可接受 'break the bonds between particles' 的说法。常见错误是写 'the particles melt'(粒子熔化),该说法不得分,因为发生物态变化的是整块物质,不是单个粒子。
5. Core Model Answers: Heating and Cooling Curves | 核心答案:加热与冷却曲线
Section C gives a temperature-time graph with two flat sections. The lower plateau is the melting point and the upper plateau is the boiling point; both must be read from the graph with the correct unit, usually °C.
C 部分给出含两个水平平台的温度 - 时间图像。较低的平台对应熔点,较高的平台对应沸点;两者都必须从图上读出并带上正确单位,通常为 °C。
T(K) = θ(°C) + 273
Students should be able to convert a melting point of 0 °C to 273 K and a boiling point of 100 °C to 373 K. The unit K is written without a degree sign.
学生应能将熔点 0 °C 换算为 273 K、沸点 100 °C 换算为 373 K。开尔文单位写作 K,不写度数符号。
On the sloping sections, the energy supplied increases the kinetic energy of the particles, so the temperature rises. On the flat sections, the energy supplied is used to overcome the forces between particles, so the temperature does not change even though heating continues.
在倾斜段,所供能量增加了粒子的动能,因此温度上升。在水平段,所供能量用于克服粒子间的作用力,因此尽管仍在加热,温度却保持不变。
For a cooling curve the reasoning is reversed: on the flat sections energy is released as the forces between particles form again, and the temperature remains constant at the freezing point or condensation point.
对于冷却曲线,推理方向相反:在水平段,粒子之间重新形成作用力并释放能量,温度在凝固点或凝结温度处保持不变。
6. Core Model Answers: Diffusion | 核心答案:扩散
Diffusion is the net movement of particles from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration, caused by the random motion of particles. Two marks are available: one for the direction of movement and one for the random motion of particles.
扩散是粒子由于无规则运动而由高浓度区域向低浓度区域发生的净移动。本小题共 2 分:方向 1 分,粒子的无规则运动 1 分。
In the potassium manganate(VII) experiment, purple colour spreads through the water without stirring until the colour is uniform. The model answer states that the coloured particles move randomly and collide with water particles, so they gradually spread throughout the liquid.
在高锰酸钾(VII)实验中,紫色无需搅拌便扩散到整杯水中,直至颜色均匀。标准答案指出:有色粒子无规则运动并与水粒子碰撞,因此逐渐分布到整个液体中。
In the bromine gas experiment, brown vapour spreads from the bottom jar into the top jar of air, which shows that gas particles move randomly and that gases mix. A popular extension is the ammonia and hydrogen chloride tube: a white ring of ammonium chloride forms nearer the hydrogen chloride end because ammonia particles are lighter and diffuse faster.
在溴蒸气实验中,棕色气体从下方集气瓶扩散到装空气的上方集气瓶,说明气体粒子做无规则运动且气体可以混合。常见拓展是氨气与氯化氢的玻璃管实验:白色氯化铵环在靠近氯化氢的一端形成,因为氨分子质量更小、扩散更快。
Diffusion is faster at higher temperatures because the particles have more kinetic energy and move faster, and it is faster for gases than for liquids, because gas particles are further apart and collide less often.
温度越高扩散越快,因为粒子动能更大、运动更快;气体中的扩散比液体中快,因为气体粒子间距更大、碰撞更少。
7. Core Model Answers: Gas Pressure and Temperature | 核心答案:气体压强与温度
Gas pressure is caused by particles colliding with the walls of the container. Each collision exerts a small force on the wall, and the total force per unit area is the pressure.
气体压强由粒子撞击容器壁产生。每一次碰撞都对器壁施加一个很小的力,单位面积上的总力即为压强。
pressure ∝ absolute temperature (constant volume)
When a sealed container is heated, the particles gain kinetic energy and move faster. They collide with the walls more often and with more force, so the pressure increases. For a fixed mass of gas at constant volume, doubling the absolute temperature doubles the pressure.
密封容器被加热时,粒子获得动能、运动加快,撞击器壁的频率更高、作用力更大,因此压强升高。对一定质量、体积不变的气体,绝对温度变为原来的两倍,压强也变为原来的两倍。
When the volume is reduced at constant temperature, the same number of particles is squeezed into a smaller space, so collisions with the walls become more frequent and the pressure rises. This is why a sealed syringe is harder to push in the further it is compressed.
温度不变而体积减小时,相同数量的粒子被压入更小的空间,与器壁碰撞更加频繁,压强随之升高。这正是密封注射器越往下压越费力的原因。
Accept 'particles hit the walls more often' and 'particles hit the walls harder' as two separate marking points. Do not accept 'particles expand when heated' - the particles stay the same size, they move further apart.
可接受 'particles hit the walls more often'(粒子撞击器壁更频繁)与 'particles hit the walls harder'(粒子撞击器壁更有力)作为两个独立的得分点。不可接受 'particles expand when heated'(粒子受热膨胀),粒子大小不变,变大的是粒子间的距离。
8. Core Model Answers: Dissolving, Solutions and Conservation of Mass | 核心答案:溶解、溶液与质量守恒
Dissolving is not a change of state. When sugar dissolves in water, the sugar particles separate and spread out between the water particles, forming a solution. The sugar particles are still present and are not destroyed.
溶解不是物态变化。糖溶于水时,糖粒子彼此分离并散布到水粒子之间,形成溶液。糖粒子依然存在,并没有消失。
mass of solution = mass of solute + mass of solvent
This leads directly to the conservation of mass question: if 5 g of sugar is added to 95 g of water and all of it dissolves, the total mass remains 100 g, because no particles are created or destroyed. Students who write 'the sugar disappears so the mass decreases' lose the mark.
由此可直接得出质量守恒的答案:把 5 g 糖加入 95 g 水中并全部溶解,总质量仍为 100 g,因为没有粒子被创造或消灭。写出 'the sugar disappears so the mass decreases'(糖消失所以质量减少)的学生不得分。
In a saturated solution, no more solute can dissolve at that temperature. Adding more solute leaves it undissolved at the bottom, and the total mass still stays the same.
在饱和溶液中,该温度下已无法再溶解更多溶质。继续加入溶质只会沉在底部不再溶解,但总质量依然不变。
A common marking error is to accept 'the sugar melts' as an explanation of dissolving. Melting requires a change of state at a fixed temperature, whereas dissolving depends on the solvent used, so this answer must be rejected.
常见评分失误是把 'the sugar melts'(糖熔化)当作溶解的解释而给分。熔化是在固定温度下发生的物态变化,而溶解取决于所用溶剂,因此该答案必须判错。
9. Explaining Experiments: Acceptable Alternatives | 实验解释题:可接受的替代表述
Cambridge mark schemes are written to reward correct science expressed in the student's own words. The table below lists the alternatives that should be accepted and the answers that should not, for the most frequently used particle-theory phrases.
剑桥的评分标准鼓励用学生自己的语言表达正确的科学内容。下表列出粒子理论中高频表述的可接受替代答案与不可接受答案。
| Model Answer | Accept | Do Not Accept |
|---|---|---|
| Particles move faster | Gain kinetic energy; speed up; move more quickly | Vibrate more (for a gas) |
| Particles are far apart | Large spaces between particles; widely spaced | Particles are big |
