The Extended route is required for grades A* to C. Extended does not mean impossible; it means you need to connect different topics within the same question.

To choose, review your recent past paper scores. If you score above 70% on Core papers and want a grade B or above, choose Extended. If your target is a grade D or below, Core is often safer.
