In AQA A-level sciences, a 'grade width' is the raw mark interval that sits between two adjacent grade boundaries. For example, if the A boundary is 182 and the B boundary is 158, the B grade has a width of 24 raw marks.

Grade width = Upper grade boundary − Lower grade boundary
