1. Gender of Nouns | 名词的性
Every Spanish noun is either masculine or feminine. As a general pattern, nouns ending in -o are masculine, and nouns ending in -a are feminine. However, there are important exceptions and other ending clues. Learn the article together with the noun to memorise the gender correctly.
- Other masculine endings: nouns ending in -or, -aje, -ema are usually masculine, e.g. el amor, el viaje, el tema.
- Other feminine endings: nouns ending in -ción, -sión, -dad, -tad are feminine, e.g. la canción, la televisión, la ciudad, la libertad.
中文要点:
- 阳性例子: el libro(书),el chico(男孩),el colegio(学校)
- 阴性例子: la casa(房子),la chica(女孩),la mesa(桌子)
- 常见例外: el día(天 – 阳性),la mano(手 – 阴性),el problema(问题 – 阳性)
- 其他阳性词尾: 以 -or, -aje, -ema 结尾的名词通常是阳性,如 el amor, el viaje, el tema。
- 其他阴性词尾: 以 -ción, -sión, -dad, -tad 结尾的名词为阴性,如 la canción, la televisión, la ciudad, la libertad。
2. Definite and Indefinite Articles | 定冠词与不定冠词
Articles must match the gender and number of the noun. The four definite articles ('the') are el, la, los, las. The indefinite articles ('a/an/some') are un, una, unos, unas. Always check the noun before choosing the article.
冠词必须与名词的性和数保持一致。四个定冠词(“the”)是 el, la, los, las。不定冠词(“a/an/some”)是 un, una, unos, unas。选择冠词前务必先确认名词的性质和单复数。
| Article type | Masculine singular | Feminine singular | Masculine plural | Feminine plural |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Definite (the) | el | la | los | las |
| Indefinite (a/an/some) | un | una | unos | unas |
Examples: el perro (the dog), la amiga (the friend), unos chicos (some boys), unas ventanas (some windows). Remember that unos/unas often translate as 'some' in English.
例子:el perro(那只狗),la amiga(那位女性朋友),unos chicos(一些男孩),unas ventanas(一些窗户)。记住 unos/unas 在英语中常译为 'some'。
3. Adjective Agreement | 形容词一致
In Spanish, adjectives must agree in gender and number with the noun they describe. Most adjectives end in -o in the masculine singular and change to -a for feminine, -os for masculine plural, and -as for feminine plural. Adjectives ending in -e or a consonant usually have the same singular form for both genders, and add -es for plural.
Adjectives usually come after the noun in Spanish, unlike in English.
与英语不同,形容词在西班牙语中通常放在名词 之后。
4. Present Tense Regular Verbs (-ar, -er, -ir) | 一般现在时规则动词
The present tense is formed by removing the infinitive ending (-ar, -er, -ir) and adding the appropriate endings. This table gives the regular pattern for each verb type.
一般现在时通过去掉动词原形的词尾(-ar, -er, -ir)并加上相应的人称词尾构成。下表展示了每种动词类型的规则变化。
| Subject pronoun | hablar (to speak) -ar | comer (to eat) -er | vivir (to live) -ir |
|---|---|---|---|
| yo (I) | hablo | como | vivo |
| tú (you, singular familiar) | hablas | comes | vives |
| él/ella/usted (he/she/you formal) | habla | come | vive |
| nosotros/nosotras (we) | hablamos | comemos | vivimos |
| vosotros/vosotras (you plural, Spain) | habláis | coméis | vivís |
| ellos/ellas/ustedes (they/you plural) | hablan | comen | viven |
Notice that the -er and -ir endings are very similar; only the nosotros and vosotros forms differ.
注意 -er 和 -ir 的词尾非常相似;仅有 nosotros 和 vosotros 形式不同。
5. Key Irregular Verbs: ser, estar, tener, ir | 关键不规则动词
These four verbs are among the most common in Spanish and are irregular in the present tense. They must be memorised as they do not follow the regular patterns.
这四个动词是西班牙语中最常用的词,一般现在时均为不规则变化。它们不遵循规则模式,必须单独记忆。
| Pronoun | ser (to be, permanent) | estar (to be, temporary/location) | tener (to have) | ir (to go) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| yo | soy | estoy | tengo | voy |
| tú | eres | estás | tienes | vas |
| él/ella/usted | es | está | tiene | va |
| nosotros/nosotras | somos | estamos | tenemos | vamos |
| vosotros/vosotras | sois | estáis | tenéis | vais |
| ellos/ellas/ustedes | son | están | tienen | van |
Quick rule: use ser for identity, origin, time, and permanent characteristics. Use estar for location, temporary states, and the present progressive. Tener expresses possession and age (tengo doce años – I am 12 years old). Ir is used for movement and the immediate future.
速记规则:用 ser 表示身份、来源、时间和永久特征。用 estar 表示位置、临时状态和现在进行时。Tener 表示拥有和年龄(tengo doce años – 我12岁)。Ir 表示移动,也用于最近将来时。
6. Forming Questions | 构成疑问句
In Spanish, questions are often formed by simply changing the intonation of a statement, or by inverting the subject and verb. Interrogative words (question words) carry a written accent.
西班牙语中,提问通常只需改变陈述句的语调,或将主语和动词倒装即可。疑问词都带有重音符号。
| English | Spanish question word | Example |
|---|---|---|
| What? | ¿Qué? | ¿Qué comes? (What are you eating?) |
| Who? | ¿Quién/quiénes? | ¿Quién es? (Who is it?) |
| How? | ¿Cómo? | ¿Cómo estás? (How are you?) |
| Where? | ¿Dónde? | ¿Dónde vives? (Where do you live?) |
| When? | ¿Cuándo? | ¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños? (When is your birthday?) |
| Why? | ¿Por qué? | ¿Por qué estudias español? (Why do you study Spanish?) |
| Which? | ¿Cuál/cuáles? | ¿Cuál es tu color favorito? (Which is your favourite colour?) |
| How many? | ¿Cuántos/cuántas? | ¿Cuántos hermanos tienes? (How many siblings do you have?) |
Remember to place an upside-down question mark (¿) at the start and a normal question mark at the end.
记住要在句首加上倒问号(¿),句末用普通问号。
7. Negation | 否定句式
Making a sentence negative in Spanish is straightforward: simply place no directly before the conjugated verb. If there is an object pronoun, no still goes before it. There are no auxiliary verbs like 'do/does' needed.
在西班牙语中,将句子变成否定非常简单:只需把 no 直接放在变位动词之前。如有宾语代词,no 仍然放在其前面。无需像英语那样添加助动词 'do/does'。
- Positive: Hablo español. (I speak Spanish.)
- Negative: No hablo español. (I do not speak Spanish.)
- Positive: Me gusta el chocolate. (I like chocolate.)
- Negative: No me gusta el chocolate. (I do not like chocolate.)
You can use other negative words: nunca (never), nada (nothing), nadie (nobody). When they come after the verb, no must still appear before the verb. E.g. No veo nada (I see nothing).
还可以使用其他否定词:nunca(从不)、nada(没有任何东西)、nadie(没有人)。当它们放在动词之后时,动词前仍然必须有 no。例如:No veo nada(我什么都没看见)。
8. Expressing Likes and Dislikes: gustar | 表达喜好
The verb gustar literally means 'to be pleasing to' and works differently from English 'to like'. The thing you like is the subject, and the person is expressed by an indirect object pronoun. The two most common forms are gusta (for singular things or infinitives) and gustan (for plural things).
动词 gustar 的字面意思是“使……喜欢”,其用法与英语的“喜欢”不同。你喜爱的事物是句子的主语,而感受者用间接宾语代词表达。最常用的两种形式是 gusta(用于单数名词或动词原形)和 gustan(用于复数名词)。
| Indirect object pronoun | Meaning |
|---|---|
| me | to me (I like) |
| te | to you (you like, singular familiar) |
| le | to him/her/you formal (he/she/you likes) |
| nos | to us (we like) |
| os | to you plural (you all like, Spain) |
| les | to them/you plural (they/you all like) |
Formula: Indirect object pronoun + gusta/gustan + the thing that is liked. Examples: Me gusta la música (I like music). Me gustan los animales (I like animals). Te gusta bailar (You like dancing). To say 'I don't like', just add 'no': No me gusta.
公式:间接宾语代词 + gusta/gustan + 喜欢的事物。例子:Me gusta la música(我喜欢音乐)。Me gustan los animales(我喜欢动物)。Te gusta bailar(你喜欢跳舞)。要说“不喜欢”,只要在开头加上 'no' 即可:No me gusta。
9. The Immediate Future: ir a + infinitive | 最近将来时
To talk about what you are going to do, use the present tense of the verb ir followed by a and the infinitive of the main verb. This is the 'formula' for the near future in Spanish.
要表达你 打算做某事,需要使用动词 ir 的一般现在时,后接 a 再加动词原形。这就是西班牙语中最近将来时的“公式”。
Formula: ir (conjugated) + a + infinitive
- Voy a estudiar – I am going to study.
- Vas a comer – You are going to eat.
- Ella va a jugar al fútbol – She is going to play football.
- Vamos a viajar a España – We are going to travel to Spain.
- Van a ver una película – They are going to watch a film.
This construction is extremely useful at KS3 because it allows you to talk about future plans without learning a separate future tense.
这个结构在 KS3 阶段非常实用,因为不需要学习独立的将来时态就能谈论未来计划。
10. Comparatives and Superlatives | 比较级与最高级
To compare two things, use más ... que (more ... than), menos ... que (less ... than), or tan ... como (as ... as). Adjectives must still agree with the first noun.
比较两个事物时,使用 más ... que(比……更……)、menos ... que(不如……)或 tan ... como(和……一样……)。形容词仍需与第一个名词保持性数一致。
- Más grande que: Madrid es más grande que Valencia. (Madrid is bigger than Valencia.)
- Menos interesante que: Este libro es menos interesante que aquél. (This book is less interesting than that one.)
- Tan alto como: Juan es tan alto como su hermano. (Juan is as tall as his brother.)
Superlatives are formed with el / la / los / las + más / menos + adjective, or with irregular forms. For short adjectives, -ísimo/a can be added for emphasis, but it is more common to use muy (very).
最高级用 el / la / los / las + más / menos + 形容词 构成,或使用不规则形式。短形容词可加 -ísimo/a 来加强语气,不过更常见的是用 muy(非常)。
11. Possessive Adjectives | 物主形容词
Possessive adjectives show who owns something and must agree with the noun they modify, not the owner. The short forms are the most common at KS3.
物主形容词表示物品的归属,必须与所修饰的名词保持性数一致,而非与所有者一致。KS3 阶段最常见的是短尾形式。
| English | Singular noun | Plural noun |
|---|---|---|
| my | mi | mis |
| your (tú) | tu | tus |
| his/her/your (usted) | su | sus |
| our | nuestro (m) / nuestra (f) | nuestros / nuestras |
| your (vosotros) | Published by TutorHao | KS3 西班牙语 Revision Series | aleveler.com
