Cambridge Assessment International Education is part of the University of Cambridge, and we have always practised that commitment through the qualifications and programmes we design. Our work reaches schools and learners in more than 160 countries, from the first years of primary education to the final examinations of A Level.

2. What Is Cambridge Global Perspectives? | 什么是剑桥全球视野课程
Cambridge Global Perspectives is a skills-based, cross-curricular programme. Instead of memorising one fixed body of content, students investigate real global issues, compare sources that disagree with each other, and defend their own reasoned conclusions. The subject deliberately crosses the boundaries between English, Science, Mathematics, ICT and the humanities.

Typical topics include climate change, migration, digital life and online identity, public health, access to education, water security, biodiversity and globalisation. The syllabus changes as the world changes, which is exactly the point: the skills stay stable while the content stays current.

In the classroom the teacher becomes a facilitator rather than a lecturer. Students work in teams, plan their own research, interview people, gather data and present findings. The learner's role shifts from remembering to researching, collaborating and communicating.

3. A Coherent Pathway from Age 5 to 19 | 从5岁到19岁的完整路径
We have built one coherent educational pathway for students aged 5 to 19, guiding them step by step towards success. The table below summarises the four stages and where Global Perspectives sits within each of them.

Each stage has its own curriculum framework, assessment style and expected level of independence, but the underlying skills of research, analysis, evaluation, reflection, collaboration and communication are revisited and deepened at every level.

4. Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives (Ages 5-11) | 剑桥国际小学全球视野课程（5-11岁）
At primary level, Cambridge Global Perspectives is built around short, practical "challenges". A class might investigate how their school handles waste, how water is used in their community, or how children in another country travel to school. Learning is active, collaborative and firmly anchored in the pupils' own experience.

Together these subjects give young learners the language, numeracy, scientific thinking and digital confidence they need to ask better questions in Global Perspectives.

Between 11 and 14, students begin to work with more demanding source material. They learn to separate fact from opinion, to spot bias in a news report, to compare statistics from two countries and to explain why two reasonable people might disagree.

The Cambridge Lower Secondary programme again combines English (first and second language), Mathematics, Science, ICT and Cambridge Global Perspectives. Where ICT develops the technical skill of handling data, Global Perspectives asks what that data means and whose interests it serves.

Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives is one of the most popular choices at this level. Students produce an Individual Report on a question they have chosen, complete a Team Project that requires genuine negotiation and shared responsibility, and sit a written paper based on unfamiliar sources.

The 16 to 19 stage also offers a rich choice: Cambridge International AS & A Level covers more than 55 subjects, Cambridge Pre-U covers more than 20 subjects, and the Cambridge AICE Diploma rewards a coherent programme of advanced study.

Cambridge International AS & A Level Global Perspectives & Research is the flagship of the pathway. Learners examine arguments and evidence, complete a team project, and - at full A Level - write an extended Cambridge Research Report on a topic of their own choosing.

8. The Six Skills Behind Every Global Perspectives Course | 全球视野课程的六项核心技能
Whatever the stage, the same six skills are developed and assessed. They are not abstract labels; each one has a concrete classroom behaviour attached to it.

These same six skills transfer directly into essay writing, laboratory work, mathematical modelling and language study. That is why Global Perspectives is best understood as a multiplier on the rest of the timetable rather than a competitor to it.

9. How Global Perspectives Is Assessed | 全球视野课程的评估方式
Assessment varies by stage but follows a consistent logic: some work is produced over time and some is produced under timed conditions, so that both process and performance are visible.

At IGCSE level, candidates typically complete an Individual Report, a Team Project and a Written Paper that tests source analysis and extended argument. At AS & A Level the balance shifts further towards independent work, culminating in the Cambridge Research Report.

Source-based questions reward precision. A strong answer explains what a source says, how it is framed, what it leaves out and how far it supports a given claim - rather than simply summarising it.

The Team Project is marked on individual contribution as well as the final product. Keeping a clear log of decisions, disagreements and revisions is one of the simplest ways to protect that mark.

10. Linking Global Perspectives with English, Maths, Science and ICT | 与英语、数学、科学、ICT 的学科联系
Global Perspectives does not replace English, Mathematics, Science or ICT; it gives learners a reason to use them together. A project on air quality, for example, needs scientific understanding, statistical handling, digital research and clear writing.

English supports the construction of an argument and the control of register. Mathematics supports sampling, percentages and the honest reading of graphs. Science supplies the mechanism behind an issue, and ICT supplies the tools to find, store and present evidence.

This is also why Global Perspectives can be taught by almost any teacher, and why it fits comfortably into the whole Cambridge International pathway from the age of 5 to the age of 19.
